Nice! I knew this car would get awesome gas mileage, there was no way a light, naturally aspirated small 4 cylinder car with 6 gears was gonna get crappy mileage. Some people got scared by the EPA numbers, but I knew they were way off.

I averaged 23mpg or so IIRC in my S2000 so never say never

The seats are uncomfortable after awhile, I agree. I think our body just needs to break it in a bit, just like shoes....and pillows.

Car: BRZ MT Limited DGM
From: Chicago
To: Miami
Miles: 1450
Hours: 24

MPG: 35.9
Note about the mpg. This trip was during my break in period so I was babying it a bit. Averaged about 74 mph for the trip. HOWEVER, my trunk and back seat was also packed with luggage. If the car was empty I believe the mpg would be higher

Overall the car felt great.

Issues with car after long trip:
My back actually hurts from these seats. There like is nearly zero amount of lumbar support. I kept feeling like my back was sore through the trip

Also the sound quality of the stereo is a bit off. I really need to sit down one day and play with the eq settings. Its hard to do while driving

Overall though, it was awesome.
Hey fellow chicagoan! We need to meet

That's awesome! It will probably get even better after the engine is broken in.

I recently took an extended road trip of about 300 miles each way. One way I had the car loaded (see my "junk in the trunk" thread) with probably 200 lbs or more of "stuff" plus two passengers at about 180lbs each. The trip back, it was solo.

I did see a difference in gas mileage between the two trips (32.8MPG up, 34.7MPG back) although I don't know that you could consider that significant given the near 400lb weight difference. Some of that could be attributed to the difference in the driving on the trips. I took some mountain passes coming back so that would lower it a bit, but the trip up also included a little "in town/stop and go" driving.

You can always do a trick, like I'd done with my beater Miata and strategically insert memory foam.

Wow that is amazing! I really wish I had a need for some highway driving so I can try this out myself.

Currently at 26.9mpg. 100% around town

This is all off of what the CPU said. However, I did some quick math during the trip and it was about the same as the CPU
