Yes! It's the exact same! 86.5-92 Supra, 2001-2005 IS300, BRZ, FRS all use the same ring and pinion!

Its not a super drastic difference then stock but when your cruising and punch it you'll definitely notice your not hit the redline right away, the car just pulls.
Mmm this is a good sales pitch. Worth it for those with only around 300whp?

Technically would help with fuel economy a little too no? (highway wise, drop revs at highway speeds)

@mrk1 can chime in on the 300whp.. I'm sticking NA and will never see the likes of that much power..

Back in the civic days it made a huge difference when I was boosted and what not!

I am right in the 300 area and its a blast with the 3.91, the touch lower rpms on the highway is a nice touch.

I would guess it would be great, but it's nice to hear it from someone with the same ratio installed.

Thanks! I think that's what turns a lot of people off on this kind of thing. If you can't do it yourself it gets expensive quick.

I get the longer gears for boost but, would the fd drop times say in a 1/4 mile run? If you still shift twice would you cross the line at a faster mph? I am about to have my first FI car so this is new to me.

If you're shifting the same number of times I don't think it would help you. If it cut out a shift, then it would definitely help because you would stay in boost longer and spend less time off power.
