@racerx1715 any progress on release of the alternative (top) mounted oil cooler?
Also interested in the Bell core option. Any more details on that core? ie model, number or rows, etc. |

@racerx1715 Just received my plate - this thing looks superb! Definitely better suited for our application than the generic Mocal plates.
2 quick questions I have though: 1. -10AN fittings came pre-installed, are they torqued to spec? If so, at what torque value? 2. Seems like dowty seals aren't used on the fittings? Or is there a seal / o-ring that is counter-sunk on the inside? Thanks!

Yes we do pre-assembly the AN fittings for the thermostatic adapter plate. We use viton o-rings to seal all fittings on the adapter plate. The o-ring groove is cut to depth and size during machining. Torque spec for the fittings is 22ft/lbs however you should not need to re-torque them. |

@racerx1715 - good call on the O-ring, I've recently had trouble with dowty seals shearing. Thanks for quick response! Quick question, do you have a recommendation for the -10AN connection to female end? My understanding is 1 and 3/4 hex turns for -10AN or 1/4 turn overall from hand tight.

Any plans on making a non-thermostatic adapter plate?

Once we have the alternate mounting position completed we will be offering it for sale separately, along with other items for individuals that want to piece together their own kit.

@racerx1715 so I tried installing on Friday... Unfortunately does not fit with stock airbox right now... Gets pinched by the metal line (?) by the thermostat bolt. At this point, can't put the airbox back on :/ I'm using the same 45 degree an fittings as your kit.

1) Remove the thermostatic adapter plate, and spacer. 2) Install the OEM air box, and leave the mounting bolts a little lose. 3) Re-install the spacer and thermostatic adapter plate, hand tighten the bolt so the adapter plate can be rotated. 4) Install the 45 degree fittings and rotate the adapter plate until it clears the Air box. 5) Tighten all components. If you are still having problems let me know or shoot an email over to tech@racerxfabrication.com |

@racerx1715 thanks for the weekend response, really appreciated! However there is physically just not enough clearance at the moment, not a matter of slotting things in one at a time.
Don't worry too much about me, I'm thinking of going CAI route with an aluminum tube so clearance won't be able issue later. Looking at your photo, clearance if it were to fit will be tight, less worried about box more so about the metal line near the tstat. Even the rotation of the tstat hex could impact the clearance if you know what I mean. Simplest fix might be taller spacer to clear the metal line. Sent from my SM-N920W8 using Tapatalk
