quick tutorial. 40=40% of the width of the tire. 245/40= 245 X .4 = xxx mm side wall height 255/40= 255 X .4 = xxx mm side wall height so 255 is 10mm wider than 245 so there for 10mm X .4 = 4mm higher sidewall on 255 than 245. Read the tire spec to get the exact measured sizes as the math is just a guideline. Good size. You should be good to go. 225/40 tire will be stretched a little, but you should be fine. Also check out 235/40 and 245/35 tires. |

I live in Colorado so ATM a drop is pointless. No fender roll but would a 18x9.5 all around work with the right tire size on stock suspensions? Kinda sucks don't come pre rolled like Genesis coupe

HI!
Someone help me to decide what to choose of Gramlights 57extremes? ![]() I have thinked 18x8,5 +42 face2 all around but still I have taught if the 18x9,5 +40 looks much better and fits nicely without rubbing at rear! I just wonder is the 9,5 wide wheel with 255/265/35 tyre too big for this car and effects much to performance? I know the 8,5 is better than 9,5 for performance except grip but still I want think about it! ![]() Tyres I would put setup 1 225 or 235/40 allround setup 2 235/40 front 265/35 rear or 225/40 front 255/35 rear! Anyone think 18x9.5 et22 with 225/40's fit? Slight camber and maybe a fender roll?

Your setup will work just fine if keeping stock suspension have a good tires and picture combo of something close to it if needed. |

you need adjustable coilovers to have clearance on the inside with that setup. stock suspension or lowering springs will still rub.

Trying to get into the wheel game. Saw my first wheels that I like, will it fit?
17x8 +35 offset 5x100. Hub Bore is 73.1 What I'm more worried about is the bore size, I know the car is around 56. And it's an ongoing battle of aluminum, plastic, if they help the car's load, if it's just to center the wheel for vibrations etc. I plan on mounting 225/45/17 tires as well since I've researched and those seem like the best bet. Also, I know the rear is going to be flush and the front will stick out a bit. I'm not planning on lowering either. |
