**Update**
Checked everything after a hard rain and the amp cables going through the port in the firewall were soaked. I really couldn't find anywhere else rain may have been coming from. There is quite a bit of corrosion around the seals on the door and the chassis where the door meets but it doesn't look like that is where water is coming from. Those having the same problem, if you have any additional things being sent through that hole this may be causing the issue. |

How could the tube or ac box even get clogged? Isn't this why we have a filter?
I'd love to just bring this somewhere since it seems like something is defective but the last thing I need is a dealer charging me diagnostic fees and an hour's labor saying its not a warranty issue. |

kinda like how a spout works for a liquor bottle as fuid goes out air goes in. tar, dust ect gets sucked in and lines the inside of that tube. eventually it gets clogged

I'm not sure thats what is happening with mine. Dirt is going up a 12+ inch tube, which is apparently clear, and clogging inside the air box? I just have a hard time believing that's possible. And if it is, what a shitty design.
Should have drained into the engine bay like the Imprezas do... |

Imrac, you really are not joking. I pulled the rubber tube out today and flushed it out. Nasty spider body parts shot out.
Will report back if leaks continue, but this should do it. Gross. Now I feel like putting some nylon mesh over the bottom of the tube. |

Thanks for the pics and info! I noticed a good amount of water on my floormat on Sunday but figured I just spilled my water on it. I had a lot more water today, so I pulled up the carpet and everything was dry...
As soon as I pulled the tube off of the A/C box I got a ton of water all over the place. Oops... I blew out the hose and put it back together. Now I have to wait for the floor to dry up. |

Little tip to get rid of the dampness and musty smell afterward, go to home depot and get a tub of damp rid and drop it in the passenger side makes a world of difference with vehicles after a water issue, and gives mold no reason to "stay"

Just got back from the dealer they charged me $170 (including tax) to clean the mesh part of the evap system that was clogged by spider web, but damn there was to much water in the carpet! It look like someone did an Ice Bucket challenged inside.

Stupid question here: Do I pour this thing on the carpet or just open the container and leave? |

Yep, that's all you need to do! I literally just had this issue again. No idea what's clogging it, but it's annoying.
