Alright, so I finally figured it out but noticed something.

On a cold start, right away the RPMs dip down to about 800-900 and it's quiet, then it climbs back to 1400 and sounds kinda loud again.

Thoughts?

I have -8 across the board for post, rows 1/2 same as other rows in MAF after start.

did you mods both maf offset tables neutral and in gear ?

Also did you mod all the idle control tables A to F ?

Romraider will only save file as hex or bin. OFT will accept either format.

If car stated then died its likely your mods to tune are incorrect.

hopefully your using correct definitions for your tune see Romraider Tips link below else your day could turn bad quickly.

Always check your work and compare with original working tune so see you have not changed anything you did not mean to.

Hey Steve, yes I did, but I have since figured out the issue.

Since the MAF offset is an adder, at 8 the ECU does not add enough initially air to compensate for the 1400RPM idle with the retarded timing reduced (-15 to -8). This causes the dip, then comes back up to 1400RPM when the ECU adjusts.

Likewise, if you don't change the MAF tables (leaving them at 30-40~), you will get a crazy high RPM idle (2100RPM). It seems the ECU can add more but will not go lower than what the table specifies.

I ended up finding the MAF adder sweet spot for a 0 retarded timing start and 1400RPM OTS adjustments. Didn't want to mess with the idle tables as there are too many to consider.

with the idle tables just reduce any values in those tables that are over 1200 rpm to 1200 rpm ie all the 1400 1325 values ect to 1200 in the five tables.

So is there a simple way to disable cold start using OFT Stage 2 UEL tune?

Do I need to contact Shiv@Openflash to get it custom done?

or in tune tweaks thread below
you will need to mod the Post Start Ignition Timing as well

you will need to use romraider tune editor see below

Apologies, slightly confused. Currently running Stage 2 UEL tune (OTS_2.06x). My goal is to reduce the cold start volume. I've modified the Post Start Ignition Timing as well as the Idle Tables. However, as expected, without the MAF correction my starting idle shoots up to about 2200 RPM causing a not-so-quiet start. Where do I go to get the block of code that allows me to edit my definition to access the MAF Correction After Start (Neutral) and MAF Correciton After Start (In Gear)? Adding this code should give me the MAF adjustments; and my LC and FFS should still remain, yes?

Any direction or links would be helpful. Thanks

See post #238 in this thread. It will show you what code you need to add and where to add it. After you adjust MAF you'll be pleased with the result.

I read the post. My question is how do I implement the changes. Do I make changes to the definitions that came with my OFT files for my CalID? If not, where should I be getting my definitions from?

Yes, add it them to your definition. Not sure if the oft defs still do some trickery on what calid it is though.
