I drive them both every day. My girlfriend has the auto and ive got a manual. I would for sure trade the auto for the manual even if it cost me a couple grand. The gearing ratio makes the auto way less tail happy when your trying to break the back end out in 2nd gear going around a turn and thats most the fun i have in the manual on a day to day basis. The paddle mode doesnt fix this. Maybe if you took it in to have the final drive changed, but thats just as much as swapping to a manual anyways.

So you're admitting to reckless/careless driving? Good on you, I also enjoy the breaking the law and then complain about getting a ticket for it.
