FI 100k miles update
![]() So my engine is almost at 100k miles (almost 80k miles on boost). Basically, everything feels the same as when I installed it at 24k miles. It still feels strong. Was at about 260whp on 91 oct for about 30k mile and 312 whp for the last 50k miles. I use mobil 1 0w-30 and perform oil changes every 7.5K miles. I have the Vortech system at 9psi, but I've pretty much been using nothing but E85 for the last 50k miles. I beat on it everyday, but never tracked it since I dont have an oil cooler or a catch can. I believe for a DD, these are not necessary if your FI system has its own oil reservoir system. I think it is safe to say the long term effects of E85 are ok for the FA20. I think I can go another 100k miles without a rebuild, but we'll see. Oh, and I'm still on the same brakes when I bought the car at 40 miles. lol

That's amazing to hear. My DD is at 30k and have always been on the fence about going FI. Stories like these keep me obsessed with this forum
