in factory HU almost all the bass coming from the doors speakers

I am no expert but I am fairly sure the BRZ amp is turned on separately where the FRS is through the head unit although I didn't even use the blue amp on wire from the new HU. I had no sound coming from door speakers at all until i got the factory amp to work so I think your issue might be something else? I also notice a "popping" sound when the bass is all the way up. You could send them an email. They are very helpful and maybe they know of a wire that just needs to be re pinned?

The factory amp in the trunk, which drives the door speakers, is triggered by pin #9 on the factory head unit's 10-pin power/speaker harness. Both BRZ and FR-S (any models which have that factory amp in the trunk).

@Aqrab: I'm not sure how your amp could be working without that signal. Are you certain that you are still hearing sound from your door speakers? (put your ear close to one and make sure that's where the sound is coming from). All of the other speakers (on the dash, and near the back seat) will still work even without the trunk amp.

In my previous post, I was talking about a wire on the factory head unit's 6-pin power/speaker harness. Pin #5 there is the illumination(-) signal, also sometimes called "dimmer".

As I explained in my posts several months back, the Dashlinq's harness has a wire for steering wheel controls pinned to that slot. BRZ and FR-S owners need to remove that wire [from the Dashlinq's 6-pin harness], or it can interfere with your car's instrument illumination and dimming. Go back and read those earlier posts.

Likewise, not too happy about it but due to the "several month wait" I just settled on the Dashlinq4 and free bluetooth adapter offer.

I would wait if I was you. I like the way the new one has all the cables set up.

How is everyone elses audio quality?? I feel like mine is crap to be honest like I feel it is broken its that bad. I came from the "upgraded" OEM audio. Maybe I am doing something wrong??

Is there any more information on this? Seems to be very little info out there... I dunno why. I'm starting to think about a new head unit, but I'm one of those OCD people that can't deal with OEM features no longer working, so I'm looking for someone with experience who can tell me what does and doesn't work, what functionality you lose, etc...
