@Aqrab do you have any video or info on how you set up your unit once you got it up and running? Like the radio, bt connection, music players etc.

NVM mind is up and running 100% now Super happy with it all though it was a total pain in my ass to install. I posted lots of pics in the other thread of all the cables if anyone is interested, also some details of how I got it to work.

Sorry for the late response. Glad to hear you're up and running! How are you setting up your HU? My location setting is Russia for some reason and all the time is in military time. Any way that u know of to fix all that? I tried looking through the settings but no luck

There is a setting in the options for car date and time then you can pick your region. I never cared about the 24h clock as i use it all day at work or just look at the car clock haha. Also if anyone is interested in getting into the dev options or remapping the physical buttons let me know.

Edit: Also how is your sound quality via bluetooth? mine sucks and seems almost raspy?

ok guys

ive got the HU installed (without the antenna wire cause i dont have it)

ill do quick review for it shortly and upload it to my youtube channel ,,, follow the below link if you are interested
http://www.youtube.com/subscription_...dd_user=aqrab1

the device is amazing , i recommend this to BRZ owners

ive used only the 16 pin harness , usb adapter and GPS (all wires not modified)

i can confirm that all speakers are working including the doors speakers but the doors speakers does not have the same powers which they have before so i need to modify the wires a little bit to get the power from the amplifier for the doors speakers

anyone know have to fix this on dashlinq CT version ? please share the fix

these wires remained unplugs ,,, where to plug these ?

the brown look like its for back camera and the below for the amplifier ,,, but where exactly we need to plug this wire ?

Okay so in order to get your door speakers working, you need to wire the "amp con" wire to the stock amp. in order to do this, i recommend doing the following steps:
1) Pull the pin from the "swc" (solid orange) wire out of the CT harness. Cut that wire and tape off the end that is connected to the black part of the harness.
2) Using the other half of the wire with the pin attached, plug it into the open pin #9 on the CT harness.
3) Using solder or butt connectors, attach the "amp con" wire to the end of the orange half that you just connected into pin #9.
That should be all that you need to do in order to get power to the door speakers and enable use of the buttons on the HU

Aqrab's profile says he's in the UAE. Some BRZ models outside North America may not have that factory amplifier for the door speakers.

@Aqrab: Does your car have the amp in the trunk, shown in this post?

If yes, you'll need to make the changes tonypalomo described above.

If not, you won't need to connect the Dashlinq's "AMP CON" wire (BLUE/WHITE) to anything.

Or did you import a car that was originally intended for the USA or Canada?

In any case, if your car has a factory dimmer wire on the 6-pin power/speaker plug at the slot where the Dashlinq's SWC wire is, you should extract that pin from the Dashlinq's 6-pin Toyota connector.

See my earlier posts starting here (post #1644).

Thanks guys for all the replies

I will do the changes to the wires and post the result

SVXdc : what do you mean by factory dimmer ?
And yes my BRZ do have amplifier

But isn't it strange that all my speakers are working including the doors speaker (but the doors speakers does not have the same powers which they have before) without doing the above steps,, because the user saying that the doors speakers will not work until you do the above steps ?

Hey I think the BRZ amp is turned on elsewhere not through the head unit like the FRS, that is why you are getting power to the door speakers. I know for me I had to add a pin to #10 i think (brown oem wire on ther side of connecter) then connect that to the red acc on wire on the CT plug so I basically have 2 pins going to the same wire in order to get the FRS amp on. Have you played with the EQ to maybe set it up properly??

so you saying that my amp is already on without modifying the wire ? but why the front speakers does not have power like it has before and there is no bass coming from it

and yes i played with EQ but the changes are very little

if i turn the bass in EQ all the way up, the front speakers (dash speakers) produce very strange noise (like popping noise)

in factory HU almost all the bass coming from the doors speakers
