Why do I have this subtle feeling it's due to the level of ethanol in our fuel. It wouldn't be the first time ethanol in US gasoline coupled with poor fuel quality contributed to widespread HPFP problems. *cough*BMW*cough*

Only have crickets when idling and they've never been very loud. Can't hear them inside the car, so it's never bothered me.

I mistaken that mailbox on the wall as a Hat at first glance. Now that's classy.

Love that cricket as a kid back in the days. :P

I work nights so whenever I need a stretch break, I go outside to stare at the car. A few times, I've seen crickets hopping around on the hood and roof.

They are probably saying, "Oh hey look! It's mother! She calling out to us!"

I'm gonna brag, none at all. It's down to the gas you use.

Built 7/12, ~46k miles, never heard a single chirp. I only pump 91 octane (no 93 out here).

I generally prefer "your majesty" myself.

Let me guess ...... aging, ageing, old, aged, mature, senior, of advanced years, long in tooth, over the hill, ........??

I asked mrs humfrz and she said ..... useless, worthless, senile, scary driver, old coot, wasted, but most of the time it's just a roll eyes or

But I still love the car

I'm going to check the alignment of the hood tomorrow because this is something I would've noticed on while waxing it in the past two years. Peeling clear coat? I've never seen that on a twin (not that there are too many around) -but I have noticed it on every brand of car (except for newer German cars). I think the sagging front is normal for the shape of it (that's the price you pay for such a cool front bumper skin) -I've seen it worse on Trans-AMs, Explorers, Volvos, DeLoreans, and BMWs. The typical fix are new clips, and aluminum brackets & epoxy.

Sorry I miss spoke, I meant to say I have engine creeks when you turn the car off.
As for the fuel pump crickets, mine is barely noticeable.

I noticed them when I got mine at 3K miles but since I've had it I only use Chevron 93 octane and about 3 to 4 ozs of Valvoline TC-W3 two cycle oil every fill up and chirp is gone.
