I could use some help deciding on some new tires. I've decided to upgrade my Michelin PSS to Bridgestone RE71R's soon for AutoX. My PSS are 225's stretched onto a 9" rim which is far from ideal. For the RE71R's I'm stuck trying to decide between 245/40 R17 and 255/40 R17. I'm running Enkei RPF1's 17x9 +35 on RCE Yellow springs on the stock shocks. My front camber is currently at -2 using camber bolts. Would 255's actually fit without rubbing anywhere or should I go with the 245's?

Hi everyone!
I've done some research on a wheel setup and it looks like it'll "fit". I would just like to confirm and possibly get any pics of the setup, if available. 17x9 +30 245/40 Stock suspension for now, but will be lowering it soon. I know it'll poke at stock, so I might just wait till I lower it to put them on. Thanks in advance! |

I couldn't find a topic discussing what would be the maximum safe width of tire to go on stock wheels and an absolutely stock suspension.
Does anyone here happen to know or have seen anybody go with a wider tire on stock wheels and suspension without any rubbing on the fenders?

Hi Guys,
Just bought a new '15 BRZ. Love this car! I'm sure it's been covered somewhere, but had a quick question that I was hoping to get help with since I am hoping to do this tomorrow.... I'm looking at picking up a set of 18x9 STR 522's with a 35mm offset wrapped with 245/40's. Does anybody see any fitment issues with this set-up on stock suspension?? Thanks for the help!! Shane |

Thanks. A little bit of poke is fine. I'm just worried about any kind of rubbing or caliper clearance. Anything functional that would interfere with this set-up. Thanks again.

Hi I'm getting closer to order a set of Work Meisters S1 3P and think I will go get 18x9 instead of 18x8 that I was going too.
So will 18x9 43offset in front and 18x9 30offset in the rear, wraped in 245/35R18 all around, fit without rubbing? I'm lowered on TRD adjustable set with 1" drop atm. Also I have checked with the calculator thing, and it looks it would be ok, but just want to be sure ![]() Wheels in O-disk, link to work sizeing: http://www.work-wheels.co.jp/catalog/pdf/52.pdf Also I'm on stock camber settings after I still got the oem LCA, so no idea how much camber that got..

Some report rubbing at full lock, but also is tire dependent. Look up the Enkei RPF1 17X9 thread for some info that might help you fitment

I know someone posted about XXRs with a +20,
But I'm wondering if I get 18x9 +20 wheels on an Eibach Pro Kit drop, will there be any rub? I don't know what tires to get yet, but I won't have LCAs or anything, not for awhile. There would be natural camber right? |

Hi there,
Looking forward to buy some wheels and tires and want to know will there any effect if i upgrade coilover in the future and whats the pro and con on the offset. 1. 17x8 et35 225/45/17 2. 17x8 et45 225/45/17 in this setup is it just representing 1. is more flush and 2 is more tuck in? why do people prefer 35 over 45. |

The first page in this thread will describe exactly what is needed. For comparison , +39 is the same as +40. Though the advan tire runs wide, if i remember right. |
