Picking up my FRS ULTRAMARINE should I get cquartz?

best bet is clear bra for front bumper, and hood then get opti coat? Does this mean I shouldn't be driving my car on the freeway before I get the stuff mentioned above?

Yuh, get the clear bra for front bumper and hood then get Opti Coat Pro.
Try to get the clear bra and Opti Coat Pro done as soon as possible. Only you can decide if you should stay off the freeway until you get all this done.

I had Opti Coat Pro done to my car 3 weeks old. Took me awhile cause I was checking out local auto detail shops who did Cquartz and Opti Coat Pro. The guy for Cquartz wanted $1200.00 which didn't even include the headlights and rims. I paid $395.00 for Opti Coat Pro which included the headlights, rims, side mirrors & inside the doors. There wasn't much paint correction to do so the owner of the shop charged me $100.00 less.

I'll be keeping my frs in the garage for couple of days, this friday im going to a detailing shop about 35mins from my house. Is this a good price full front bumper, full hood ang partial fenders for $950? Opti coat is 550 if there isnt paint correction or other things need to be done.

do you know what kind of clear bra they are going to be using?


some places around here use Xpel clear bra which i guess is some top end stuff... usually charge $1800 i believe for it to be done

Tell the dealership not to wash and detail your car.
As WhiteFRS69 mentioned find out if they're using Xpel clear bra.
Xpel is expensive and worth it. I should've done Xpel before Opti Coat Pro but oh, well....

Take some nice pics after the car is done with clear bra and Opti Coat Pro.

This place i'm thinking of heading out this friday he said he will be using SunTek film is that good or better than expel? He quoted me for 1,700 Full hood, full bumper and full fenders + Opti Coat Pro. What do you guys think?

Only diff between the two is Xpel has a 10 yr warranty & Suntek is 5 yr. Just make sure installer is good at applying it. For the Opti Coat Pro is he including rims, windows , badges, etc? Find a shop that does Xpel & compare prices.

Price sounds about right. I didn't go for the whole hood and fenders. It's probably around $1000 or more for a clear bra covering everything you listed + the cost of the Opti.


EDIT: SunTek is the film I have. I'm quite happy with it. If it can survive Arizona desert heat then you can be sure its going to last. Honestly, most people screw up the film themselves by washing it improperly or taking it through powered car washes.
