No issues with the wheel specs, but you should be running a 245/35R18 tire. 245/40 is too tall.

Thanks
All over the map here:

  • 18x9 +30 will poke so make sure you have enough camber to make it work. Springs will likely not be enough (natural camber from drop), so crash bolts/camber bolts should do it.
  • 17x8 +35 should be fine with no issues
  • 18x8 +48 will be tucked in alot, but will fit. You will be able to lower it but will be limited to the amount of negative camber you can add. (Note: Raijin's are likely +45 offset in that size)
Tires:
Get the wheel sorted out first, then you can worry about tire sizing. All 3 of above choices should have a different tire size.

TRD wheels with either Michelin PS2 or Pirelli P-Zero Rosso with stock suspension. Can't run the TRD recommended 215/40 up front due to local load rating compliance rules.
Why staggered by such a small differential? Hardly worth it for 1/2" wider in rear. Our cars can accommodate a much wider square setup.
Edit: I see that the staggered TRD option comes from Scion, which is a bit stupid if you ask me.

If you're stuck on the TRD wheels, go with the wider one and stay square (same wheel & tire all 4 corners).
Lots of room to run the same wheel up front.

You'll thank me when it comes to tire wear, rotation, etc...

I just ordered avid.1 av52 18x8.5 +35 all around. I am lowered on fortune auto 500 coilovers with about 2 inch drop. I am unsure if I should run 225/40, 225/35, or 235/35. I would prefer to keep my current ride height if at all possible. The obvious goal is to not rub, especially the paint off my inner fenders. Also it is my daily driver. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

245/35R18 is the proper tire size for a 8.5" wheel.

I want to order a set of Avid.1 AV-20's, will there be any fitment/scrubbing/etc issues with these wheels (my car has RCE Yellow springs and factory struts/shocks):

front:
18x8.5, 5x100 pcd, 73.1mm cb, 33 et/offset

rear:
18x9.5, 5x100 pcd, 73.1mm cb, 38 et/offset

I'm boosted and pushing almost 300whp so I wanted to stagger the rear. What size tires should I get? I really want to go as wide as possible without issues.

No issues with those wheels at all. If you find that they poke (up front), you may want to add camber or crash bolts up front to tuck the tops in a bit.

245/35 and 255/35 will fit without any problems, but going wider to a 265/35 in the rear is possible also.

How much lower than stock are you?
With a 265, you could be rubbing the outside edge of the fender and need to roll the lip a bit more than the factory bend. Inner wheel clearance should be fine. No issues up front.

Thanks!

The RCE Yellow springs give approximately 0.75-0.8" drop over stock

So you will likely need to put crash/camber bolts in if you want the wheels to tuck in a bit more.

Wheel specs are good (it's what I run also, was on springs now on coilovers).

A 245/35R18 is the right tire, possibly fit a 255/35 but I think you'll need a bit more camber. I ran that last year with no issues but my camber was -2.2. Camber bolts will help with that though.

Keep in mind that tire sizing (nominal width) differs from one manufacturer to the next, so a 245/35R18 is the safer bet.

Id like to leep my TRD springs for now on my RS1. But im also trying to learn the world of wheel fitment.... with that said...

Could I run a 18x8.5 +33 squared setup without any issues? +33 seems like it would rub on the front would it not? Also if I were to drop it on coils in the future would it have troubles then on the fender? Thanks in advance

Sorry noob mistake I created a whole topic when I should have posted here.

Hi guys

Looking at getting some Works D9R 18" rims

The shop has 8.5 +38 front and 9.5 +38 rear.

I usually see people with a larger offset on the rear when they do staggered.

Does having he same offset make sense in this case (staggered setup)?

Just wondering if it'll look weird.

Thanks a million for your advice all
