I haven't yet put the first adapter into my car - been busy with other things. Once I verify that the fitment is spot on, I'll post the design for others to download and print themselves.

That thing is awesome! Thank you for sharing the print file. Has it held up over time?

Fitted mine today, very happy with the improvement to sound quality. They're definitely slightly muffled behind the rear quarter trim, but the increase in volume and overall front/rear balance is significant and worth it I think. The original speakers were almost completely worthless.
Thank you to the OP for designing and sharing the brackets! Pictures on Twitter |

Any chance you wanna print up another set and mail them? Let me know what you would charge.

I had these 6 1/2 inch speaker supports printed by local 3-D printer and they worked out awesome. I just didn’t love the sound that came from the 6 1/2 inch and wanted something deeper. I fabricated my own 6 x 9 support and that sounds a bit better to me.
If anybody wants to cover the postage, I can send my printed supports to them. Thanks again to the OP for an awesome design. Now I just need to fit a grill to cover them. I also used insulation batting and dynamat for sound deadening as the noise at speed drives me nuts. It helped a bit and made it tolerable now. ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
