I have similar noise too.
I check for leak, but found no leak.
Some says its normal with thinner material used for aftermarket exhaust, but CSG mike's comment makes me confused too.

So I'm gonna take off header this weekend to take a look at the gasket.

I get the whooshing sound with my JDL UEL. I pressure-tested by putting a shop vac exhaust up one tailpipe, plugging the other, and spraying soapy water on all connections. No leaks. Still whooshing.

Is this header supposed to sound a bit different under throttle? I've got my burbles. But also this sound of... almost like air escaping.

But I have no exhaust leaks. After I installed I went to my dealership and they double checked my work said I was good to go.
I get the same issue when im next to buildings. its odd I cant find a leak at all but I can hear something. Could be the intake I have but no exhaust leak

I think the confusion here is that we have inconsistent/different descriptions for the sound. Deleting BOTH cats will result in a tinny, high pitched sound, but not a wooshing, "air leaking" sound.

Check the areas around the gaskets for leaks. If there are none, then don't worry about it

I have the same noise. I've come to accept it's the way it's supposed to sound. I took the header off and replaced all gaskets with grimmspeed gaskets and even used copper gasket maker around the gaskets and tightened down to spec. I only hear the noise when in close proximity to something, and did the water and soap test. No bubbles, and felt no leak before OR after. So I'm guessing it's just the thinner metal, and sound of the air rushing through the pipes.

Could be, I also thought about the slip joint as well but there is no evidence of a leak there. Oh well just have to live with it lol
