This thing has a small gas tank, only around 250-300 miles per tank? I'm spoiled by the 450-550 that I get in my Legacy.

I can attest to the difficulty of not putting that pedal through the floorboard. I spend more time watching the mpg readout to remind myself to drive frugally than I do watching the speedometer.

The most I got out of a tank was 364 miles, and that took 12.2 gallons to fill up. Im heading to KC in two weeks, its 1100 miles. Im trying to only fill up 3 times each way, but we'll see.

I got about 380 miles out of around 11 gallons, nearly all of it at highway speeds (65-75) and a period of driving through 2lane mountain roads (about 60 miles) at 45-60 in no higher than 4th gear about 90% of that 60 miles.

4th fill up and the damn thing overfilled my tank and some gas dribbled out onto my paint the other day ;~;

Be careful guys, I noticed some of the older style pumps dont sit correctly in our gas filler area if you dont really jam it in there good, and if its not al lthe way seated, the gas level sensor int he pump nozzle wont work, resulting in the gas spill that I had on my hands.

Since Ive filled it several times now and only had a problem once, Im pretty sure it was a function of the gas station and not of the actual receptacle on the car.

900 miles, average of 28.8 mpg. With over 10 dyno runs on it, and several testing sessions with WOT runs for exhaust and intake sound testing.

Nice! I've yet to see what she'll do on a really open road. My best tank was 32mpg but that was on 3/4 of a tank, and that was mostly highway with about 20miles worth of traffic. When the road was clear, I was keeping it at about 85mph in 6th.

Wow!...what I wouldn't give for 20 cents a gallon difference between regular and premium. Locally, the difference between 87 and our highest (94) is 18 cents PER LITER... That's over 68 cents per gallon!

85MPH? Wow, no wonder why the mileage was low. Ideal speed is around 55-60.

Same here, usual motorway speed is 85-90.
With the Clio I had around 28 MPG at that speed. Average was 31, so it seems the 86 is basically the same.

Spirited driving and 30 MPG? That's not possibile.
I guess you mean mixing spirited and normal driving...
