-Buy a Tesla Roadster or P85 Model S. :p

I don't really want it any louder, but I would like to do stuff to get more power and have it be usable later.

Bob at drift office mentioned when he was tuning my car a year ago that he got more power on the 3" AVO header back that he put on the car.
I have no doubt that the 3" got more power, but what constitutes a worthwhile gain? 10hp? 5hp? A supercharger will, by design, always give the same amount of boost at a given rpm. Due to this I'd expect very little gains from exhaust. Turbochargers on the other hand can spin faster and pump more air due to a greater pressure differential offered by a low restriction post turbine flowpath.

However, that aside, I think you've bought the wrong car if you continuosly want to chase more power. Where does it end? What is your desired end result (the "vision" for you build, if you will)? If it is simply "more" I fear you might never be satisfied.

I'm not in it for a lot of power, otherwise I would have bought a different car. I'm in it for handling first, power second. I'm just trying to maximize what I have is all. I think I can get closer to 300whp with e85, 3" exhaust, and Perrin larger intake with retune. I wouldn't mind 400whp but that's quite a bit more of an upgrade with probably a built engine to be safe along with a lot more stuff, which I won't do anytime soon. After perhaps e85 I may get some nice AP Racing brakes and maybe nice coilovers with external reservoirs. Won't have that kind of money until next year after I pay off my stuff and save up, barring me buying a second car. I may try to hold off until the smaller Tesla comes out in a few years, or maybe I won't wait and I'll get a P85 next year. Who knows. All I know is I'd like to eventually have a second car that's all electric again as I loved it when I had the i3, but decided to pay off my stuff first which is why I sold it after a very brief ownership.

I mean, consult Bob (or whoever your tuner will be, I hear he won't touch another innovate), but were it me (and assuming I was as sensitive to loud exhausts as you) I'd skip the 3" as it will offer negligible gain and do the rest of that list (intake+e85).

Also in my opinion you do not need the AP kit, as you're not using the stock system to it's potential yet (I have followed you on a track! ) You just need better pads. But far be it from me to tell others what parts to buy and if it'll make you happy go for it!

As for second cars, I've already ordered an elio

It should be the best sounding car not the loudest.

needed a db reader if they really wanted to find out who was loudest. i thought the guy who went like 4th or 5th had a mean and loud exhaust. something that would make kids cry.

that black car was loudest, followed closely by the red with all the tomei stuff. but the guy who won had some unique tones and i think everyone liked that he made his.

I noticed head on towards the exhaust sounded different from the side, the side people went more by combination of sound and loudness. PLUS he done did made his own so that was cool.. had we judged from the back it may or may not have been a different outcome but still, cool as shit he created his own. Plus none of them were extremely loud imo, I feel like we should've judged by tone.

BUT what's done is done, maybe next time we'll set it up differently. Still much fun! Minus sun burn... :[
