** WE'VE GOT 86 EVENT**July 12, 2015**

Since we have had so much success with many of our monthly meets, it is time to get started on this year's 86 Mega Meet and fully reach out to all members of the 86 community!

http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps7nem9jtb.jpg

When: July 12, 2015. 12-4pm (times subject to change)

PRE-MEET at (Location to be announced) for all that arrive will be at 1100 am.

**Cruise/convoy times will vary based on location. Details to follow.

Where: Toyota of Olympia, Olympia Auto Mall, 2225 Carriage Dr SW, Olympia, WA 98502

Why: Meet and Greet owners in the PNW.

There will be several meet up spots which I will post and update frequently. For example Seattle 86s would meet up at "X" location, Portland 86s would meet up at "X" location, then cruise together to meet at the large pre-meet destination before the dealership. We will then convoy and enter at the same time.

No other cars will be allowed to enter the dealership until after the main 86 convoy has entered and parked their cars. This will guarantee the 86 community will be taken care of and be given the needed info on roll in!

PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS IF YOU WOULD LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN!

I have been given the authorization to work in partnership with Toyota of Olympia to put together a large meet on their property. This meet would be 86 specific (FRS/BRZ). However, other imports may attend on which I will be reaching out to the Subaru/Evo/Nissan guys as well as others.

This meet will offer the possibility of a Live band, various vendors/food, raffles, give-aways, and a car show consisting of us. I am currently reaching out to vendors in the immediate area to show their products and offer discounted rates at this meet. Toyota of Olympia will also be unveiling their turbo Rocket Bunny 86. There will be a local radio station/local coverage from various media websites as well as the possibility of magazine coverage.

Imagine a Hot Import Nights except consisting of 86s.

I am pushing this to be the largest 86 meet in the PNW. This is where I need your help! I will need at the least a 50 car commitment on my end in order to move forward. If this means taking off work or setting some time aside for this date then please make that commitment. A lot of planning and time is going into this for the majority of the group.

I know that we just peaked at about 30 cars at yesterdays local monthly 86 meet. I am hoping Portland will pull through and represent and match us.

This post will be updated on a regular basis.

There will also be a number of vendors booths/specialty shops attending. I will list those of particular interest to us here!

**Drift Office will be in attendance! Thank You!
**Scion of America will be showing a couple of 5axis vehicles

***UPDATE***April 09,2015***

I had a chance to take a look at the sample shirts that will be given to the 86 community, they look awesome, more details to follow!

Possibility of Chris Rado and Michele Abbate making an appearance from SCION Racing.

***UPDATE***April 08, 2015***

AWESOME NEWS! Got a call from the Toyota Management today. SCION Corporation wants to go big with OUR 86 meet. They are excited and pumped and investing a lot of time, effort and resources to making this big. So what does that mean for the 86 community?

Currently we are getting shirts designed and specifically made for the Drivers that will be meeting up and coming out to the pre-meet. I will be working with them on getting a design that hopefully everyone will be proud to show off and wear!

SCION RACING DEVELOPMENT will be bringing their trailer with cars that have been shown at SEMA.

2 SCION RACING Drivers are currently in the works of coming and signing autographs at this event, one of them is possibly female driver Michele Abbate.

A couple of old school Car show quality AE86's will be there to represent the history.

The possibility of an area being sectioned off for a burn-out contest is also on the table.

If you have not made the commitment yet, I highly suggest you do. You will walk away from this with a smile.

This is just a tip of the Ice berg. I will be having another meeting with Toyota tomorrow to talk more details. More to come!

BIG THANKS TO BOB @Drift-Office for putting it on their event page and spreading the word!

***UPDATE***April 08, 2015***

Big THANK YOU once again to Bob @Drift-Office and @Missy for helping us meet and spread the word on meeting the minimum requirement of 50 on Facebook and here. Now we are going to push for 100 cars to fill the entire lot.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO THANK THE ABOVE POST!

***UPDATE****

I really need you guys/gals to "thank" the above post to get an accurate account. Regardless if you are coming from Washington, Portland, Etc, or heard it through Facebook (thank you @Missy).

If you are unable to "thank" the post, a simple "i'm in" in this thread will do!

Alright ladies and gents! I have secured a safe and accessible spot for all 86 attendees! We will be meeting at the South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) parking area labeled "Lot A." After the main entrance turn right, the lot will be labeled and on your right a short distance afterwards. The address is 2011 Mottman Rd SW, Olympia WA 98512.

We will have 3 meet-up/cruise locations to the pre-meet/staging area (SPSCC).

Tacoma Mall Krispy Kreme
4302 Tacoma Mall Blvd. Tacoma WA 98409.
Meet-up at 9:50am, Roll out at 10:00am Sharp!
Cruise led by Michelle and Alvin

D*ck's Drive In
21910 Highway 99
Edmonds WA 98026
Meet-up at 9:00am, Roll out at 9:10am Sharp!
Cruise led by Sean and Brandon

**PORTLAND GROUP (taken from PDX thread)
@Chen let me know if you want the time/info adjusted.

Gee Creek Rest Area
Ridgefield WA 98642
Meet-up at 7:30am, roll out at 8:00am.
Cruise led by @Chen

If you are unable to meet-up for the cruise or would prefer to drive alone, please just show up at the SPSCC Parking Lot A parked and ready to go by 11:00am.

You will see that there are individual(s) who will be leading the cruises. These responsible people have volunteered to ensure that you will get to the pre-meet location in a timely and safe manner. They will be there to guide you and inform me if any changes or unexpected circumstances occur!

I will be at the SPSCC Parking Lot A with @Missy at 10:30am. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP EARLIER THAN 10:00am at SPSCC due to arrangements I have made with the SPSCC staff.

Please do not try to bypass the main 86 group meeting at the pre-meet location and head straight to the dealership. No cars will be allowed in until the main 86 group has parked.

Any person(s) interested in media coverage and covering the longest line of 86's in the PNW please meet me at SPSCC at 10:30am for details and set-up.

Further instructions will be given at the Pre-Meet location promptly at 11:00am!

HAVE FUN! GET EXCITED! WE'RE ALMOST THERE! SEE YOU ON JULY 12th!

~Bernie

RobertPaulson 04-06-2015 08:42 PM

question, will we be able to leave early if we need to? example i may need to leave by 3pm.

HATED1 04-06-2015 08:50 PM

Oh yeah! Definitely! I don't expect everyone to stay until 4pm. My main concern is the hours from roll in until-2pm. That should be were we will be at peak and most photo ops would most likely occur, as well as festivities/giveaways etc.
