didn't need to shave at all. went with 235/40/18 tires, added whiteline camber bolts up front. no rubbing. note that i'm on TRD springs with stock shocks. I didn't have any rubbing issues before the camber bolts either. just wanted to eliminate a little bit of the poke by getting a little bit of negative camber.

In regards to tires, I got Nitto Motivos. Mainly because I plan to do ZERO track time which means it's only a daily so I didn't need any performance tires. Why spend the extra money if I really didn't need to ya know? FWIW Im very happy with the Motivos right now. super quiet, 60k tread warranty... not bad for $120/tire
Motivo's are awesome tires, i have been running them for a couple years on my first FRS and a Cadillac ATS and no complaints at all. I may try the new Conti DWS 06 this time though. Going to run a similar wheel in 18x9 +35 with Swift springs and 235/40. Hope it doesn't poke too much up front.

Ya i'm actually loving the motivo's. don't really have any complaints. it shouldn't be too bad in terms of poke. Camber bolts with -1.5 camber up front pretty much too care of the poke i had on my setup.

I ended up going with the new XXR 550 in 18x8.75 +36 so it should be pretty flush. Should have it all installed around this time next week. Really the only reason i went with the Continental was too save just a little weight and its a cleaner sidewall design.

Front poke is pretty narley but I have zero rubbing issues. Definitely need camber bolts or coil overs to get the fronts to look good.

Did you have to roll your fenders? I plan on doing the same set up, just hoping I didn't have to do any fender work

Pretty much about to ask what he asked. I don't want to do any fender work (I'm doing literally everything myself with the exception of putting the rubber on the wheel)

I have 1 inch drop from springs running 18x9.5et35. I had to run 215/40 front and 235/40 clears no problem. I had 225 in the front and it didn't rub when sitting. It will probably rub off I hit a bump though lol. No fender work done or camber or anything like that.

My fronts are rolled the rears are stock. I did notice that my tire is rubbing the front fender well alittle. Im not to worried about it since ill be able to add some negetive camber with coilovers. Under normal driving conditions its totally fine.
