Could the resent install of headers be involved? Maybe they knocked something out of place? All I know was it was perfect until I installed the open flash tablet

To be honest man, I'm not sure. I haven't installed a header. I have read that you can trigger P0700 if you unplug the OFT with the ignition in the 'ON' position. Do you recall if that's what you did? @steve99 is an OFT guru, hopefully he will chime in an give you some useful info.

EDIT: A few other AT owners have had the same problem, it seems if you clear the code in OFT that is solves the issue.

Carista and and OBD dongle can read and reset CEL's. A must have, IMO, if you are messing around with tunes. Regardless, drive to the dealer and tell them you have a CEL. As others have said, it's not the tune itself.

ETA: If you are back on the stock ROM, don't drive like a nut. Did you try disconnecting the battery?

ETA again: My tablet is in the car. You can clear CEL's with it, IIRC. And again, the tuning forum is where you should be.

You often get P0700 error code when reflashing automatics.

OFT only flashes the engine ecu however during the flash process the engine ecu stops talking to the auto transmission control unit and other control units in the car.

This often triggers P0700 which is a transmission control unit code re no communication on can buss.

If the engine is running then your flash is ok.

You wont be able to clear the P0700 code with oft as its not an engine ecu code it a transmission error code. P0700 probably put auto trans in safe mode which is like
y why some features disabled

You can use android torque app or most obd scanners to clear it.

Else just stop engine turn off car and remove negitive battery terminal for 30 sec and you will be good ans this will reset all the control units in car.

Unfortunatly it will also reset radio and it may need security code

That P700 code occurrs all the time reflashing auto cars dont panic.
as above you can also trigger it if you plug\unplug oft or other obd devices when car is on best to do plugging\unplugging when car off

Read the oft tips links below

Thx everyone. Last night I reset it to original flash and I drove for about 10 miles and everything went back to normal again. I guess the ecu just needed some time to adjust I no longer have check engine light or transmission problem. The only bad thing is that I'm running full straight pipe and uel headers and I don't have a tune. Should I spend an extra $400 on EcuTek tune or keep oft? Doesn't seem like it works with the automatic cars!

Read the post above yours. It tells you what you need to do. You can flash back with the OFT. Then either:
A: You might not get the CEL.

B: Clear CEL with torque app on android device/OBD scanner (can usually borrow one from local auto parts store and clear it in the parking lot).

C: Flash the tune, drive a few miles to see if the CEL comes on. If it does, unhook the negative post on the battery for 30 seconds. This will not affect the tune, but will reset the electronics and any learning they have done. (Will also reset radio, so any saved stations/setting will need to be redone).

This! Or spend an additional 400 bucks. Up to you

It worked perfectly fine on my AT, just give it another go. Follow the steps mentioned above and you should be fine, even watch the youtube video of the install if you need to.

Sorry bud, you bricked your ECU. Bye bye car.

In all seriousness, why not open up a line of communication with the OFT folks? I'm sure they can help you much faster compared to posting on a forum and waiting for replies.

You can actually edit tune with romraider to remove P0700 code @Wayno who does heaps of flashes on his auto has done this as he got tired of the code popping up after a flash.

I did an auto a week ago got P0700 just cleared it with Torque app all good.
I think it goes away on it own after a few drive cycles .

The tunes work with autos no issue in that area, the p0700 cel code will happen with all tuning devices (i was using tactrix at the time) it just oft wont clear the code, i believe they are working on a fix for that though.
