Ah makes sense. Stupid question lol. Someone was having issues with their button not being able to shut off even when the car is off but i found out they ordered tbe wrx one instead.

I would find it very hard to believe that there is any security in the button at all. If the button was doing anything secure it could be bypassed by just popping the button out. This is nothing more than a momentary contact switch with probably 3 wires to it: power, ground, and signal.
