No offense to the fellas on this thread, but look at the some of the responses already. (Though to be fair, some of them are actually in jest )

What's wrong with a commercial that invites a man to forget about the world for a bit, and go on a leisurely ride? I think it's great that somebody had the balls to shoot a commercial that says, " Oi! Hold on there, buddy, how about you focus on you for a change, and not work or a woman, eh?" Maybe it's because I work so much, but that commercial really appealed to me. I also liked the music to boot.

And Hey! How about that!!! A commercial where the man is not some fat, dumb lummox who can't tell shit from shine, and needs his woman to swoop in a save him from his own stupidity. That's a concept I haven't seen on TV since... well... the turn of the century, actually.
I have no issue with the guy taking his car for a ride, I'm getting ready to go do that myself.

That said, I have a serious issue with any male who thinks its OK to leave a woman stranded at a restaurant waiting for you. Call me old fashioned, but that's no way to treat a lady.

The dog, and work, well they'll get over it.

These commercials are boring as shit. What are you doing, Subaru. The demo you're pitching these ads to are going to run far, far away once they see the spartan interior.

As soon as I get my BRZ I will disappear. I don't know for how long, where I will go or what I will do. All I know is I will DRIVE. I've already established with my girlfriend that the first night I have it I will sleep in it. I've never bought a brand new car and this is going to be my first treat for myself. Its going to be a step up form my 99 RS. Oh and the commercial as awesome too!

Nice views though.
And his dog is gonna tear his $hit apart, lol. Never mind his vocabulary and musical skills will also default.

Don't forget hookers too, those two go together like peanut butter and jelly! Invite Charlie Sheen so you can win some more too!

Love the commercial, that's exactly what I'm going to do with the car, well except for the part where the girlfriend is pissed for waiting on the guy. Lol! Thanks for the video!!!!! XD

Cool video and all...but do they ever air these on national tv? Kinda annoying, cuz this isnt really a good marketing strategy to market solely through youtube, where only enthusiasts will SEARCH PURPOSELY for "BRZ"... Big dummies. Scion does the same shit too...

Cool wordless commercial, very cinematic, European setting - must be a Euro commercial...

Viral/social marketing is the best way to market right now. It would be more dissapointing/bad timing to have commercials air before the cars become widely available. Potential shipping delays would worsen the effect. Scion's commercial with Gushi stunt driving along a California mountainside has been prepped for months and will air at the optimal time. Not sure what Subaru has planned but their US marketing is among the best in the industry. Scion plans to sell something like 5x more FR-Ss than BRZs and marketing should reflect that accordingly.

YES. Off topic, but this is why commercials like this one drive me crazy - youtube.com/watch?v=YdRLYqP7ZoM. Can't the guy look around in his own f'n fridge?!?! (Notice how comments were disabled on that one - most were along those lines.)

Sorry - back to the BRZ. Great commercial! I'm still a fan of silver.
