Sorry,I don't understand your question.
You want the red arrow groves orientated like the black lines?

No, I want the outer concentric rings to replace the inner fluting. The airflow on the outside of the horn shouldn't worry anyone. Let me know if that's still confusing. I can see how you could read my post the other way, should have worded it better.

But since you bring it up, yeah, just swap the inner and outer patterns. That would look most logical to me. Air is actually moving a little horizontally on the outside of the horn. At the very least, it's an attention to detail thing.

Why would concentric rings perpendicular to the flow path help reduce turbulence? (Serious)

Tooling patterns on an empty tube
Some grooves that can't be removed
Just an aesthetic feature I don't care
The wait is more than I want to bear
The power and the noise is all I say
It's not much I'm asking to keep it na
I want an intake, I want an intake,I want an intake, and I want it now
I want an intake, I want an intake,I want an intake, and I want it now

Apologies to Brian May and Queen

I wouldn't mind doing back to back dyno runs at 30psi with stock manifold vs this one. would be cool to see if i could make the same power with less boost.

That's how you create a boundary layer for laminar airflow. You want air to form little ball bearings for the rest of the volume to glide over. That's what golf ball dimples and shark skin do. Fluting wouldn't do that, in fact it would probably do more harm than good increasing turbulence. Generally speaking that is, and this application may or may not care at 1/10,000th".

Bellmouth is a pretty angry area of the intake system with huge flow in both directions at high pressures.
Still waiting for the other 2 heights to show up for testing. I'd say 3 weeks minimum.
