The intake sound generator bolted to this cover so it was time to fabricate a block off for me . This intake manifold makes quite a bit of noise itself as well, especially on tip in.

Especially since its parallel, its not like the ports for the intake and exhaust where it looks like 1000 grit sandpaper rather than smooth cast.

Do we have a price on this yet? I see lots of RnD, so I expect it'll be pricey.
Estimated time to market? Or is release still contingent on dyno numbers? I'm just sitting here thinking of all the nice summer days going by that I'm building and not driving, and don't want to keep taking it off the road every month for new parts..

Contrary to popular belief, we (Velox, not sure about other companies) actually do not factor in R&D into the sell price of a component.

It very much is contingent on dyno numbers. No point in bringing an intake manifold to market if it doesn't perform.

People will also buy merely for asthetics.

I would buy this thing for aesthetics and sound, and maybe a bit of power. Assuming it isn't like $2k. I'll take mine fully polished. kthx.

If we're doing colours I want mine covered in leds with an input from the stereo so that there is a frequency analyzer/dynamic equaliser effect over the surface of the manifold.

They can machine from a translucent plastic and have the LEDs inside! Delrin/Acetal may be up to the task.

That actually gave me a decent thought. Is there any particular reason for going with whatever material you chose? You could probably knock a little weight off with an appropriate plastic.
