Illegal, please don't waste your money.
An H9 conversion is still technically illegal, the housings are meant for H11 so anything else is a no go, but the filament is in the right location so it will have the right pattern. The H9 conversion isn't right for every H11 though, the bit of light allowed above the cutoff to illuminate street signs is significantly higher and may be blinding to others, do your research before you spend any money, HID in halogen housings is definitely wrong though.

I have kensun on my winjets, 6k on them currently (gonna swap to a 5k or 4.3k in the future), next to my friends true HIDs BRZ. So far they have been working for 6month strong, backed up with a 2 year warranty.i fixed the cut off with my headlights so my friends tell me it doesn't blind them. They have really good customer service. 109753

Have had them for awhile and they're probably the best bang for the buck. Super bright though for 35w so adjust accordingly!

If you want better quality for roughly the same price pick up some clearance morimoto bulbs from the retro fit source and some fast bright ballast from aliexpress.

I've had the Kensun brand HID kits on several of my cars. They are hard to beat for the price and I bought all of them from Amazon because their return policy is gangster. Never had a problem with these lights. I mount the ballast in sensible locations though. Away from exessive heat. The kit comes with brackets and screws so you don't have to zip tie everything.

Did you use the H7s or H11s?

Was actually planning on using them in winjets.

I also have Kensun HID's for both my daytime running lights and my headlights. I love them. They are really bright lol. I got 6K and they are brighter and more blue than my buddies 8K lights he has on his truck.

That means they're crap quality...

Lowering the headlights down isn't fixing the cutoff, it's making it harder for you to see, which defeats the entire point. If you fix the squirrel finders in the projectors, they're not terrible, but they still have nothing on a true HID projector.

Bingo. A single OEM bulb goes for the price they want for the entire kit, and you think you're going to get quality?

The quality of mine seem to be pretty good. I've had them for over a year now and no problems to date...

I read in a thread on here that tuners have found instances of non-OEM HID's putting out sufficiently high RF emissions that it would screw up the ECU and make the care act strange. OEM products are rigorously tested for their emissions, aftermarket ones do not have to meet this requirement.
