Untuned results could be flat out dangerous for the engine if the air:fuel ratio is that far off. No price has been mentioned, but I think you can assume anyone buying this will also be in a finanicial position to get a tune as well.

Would the afr be off ? for NA car
if you using stock intake and maf sensor housing ect, then maf sensor should still be calibrated.
maf detects :more air flow , ecu adds more fuel

unlikely is going to flow past the maf limits. NA

Yeah if anything a slight mad adjustment may be needed due to the air flowing slightly different past the MAF but it wouldn't be dangerous. However if you are looking into this component and not considering a tune then this product is honestly probably way beyond your price range. Tuned baseline vs tuned manifold is what really needs to be done.

We will be doing a tuned baseline vs. a tuned intake manifold comparison. We are not interested in testing in another fashion that skews results. We're not interested in "tricking" the ECU to run leaner then a stock calibration does and make more power that way either.

AFR will be dialed in to remain the same between baseline and intake manifold. We will be testing it on my personal car first (NA application, as stock as they come) and then shipping to FT-86 Speed Factory to be tested on their time attack car (FI application).

Certainly an interesting design. What's the AN line hose connecting the two plenum together? Nevermind, found the answer to my question! However, I don't think equalization would matter for FI, but rather NA.

They could or might not be, but I don't have the data to make that call. I assume Velox would so I'm sure they would be the best ones to make that determination.

Excellent! I'm glad to hear that as most vendors promise dynos and deliver skewed marketing BS instead.

There is no benefit to skewing results. We want to know what works and doesn't work just as badly as you guys. This has been a very fun, challenging, drawn out (unfortunately), and expensive development. Luckily we are partners with FT-86 SpeedFactory and they helped us by splitting development costs on this project with us. They're interested in pushing the platform further just as much as we are .

Ive been teaching Eric the basics of tuning so he can help dial it in without skewing the results =) He should end up with some nice transparent results. =D

But transparent results on this forum's background colour will make them difficult to read.
