Recently I installed new speakers, a sub and an amp. These are all connected through the head unit and would work as they normally do.

Remember you still need a head unit with above method but it just needs to have whatever features you want. I would lean towards a sony unit right now.

Is there a cable i can use to charge and use tether from my phone by usb usb to the tablet? Cause wifi on my phone isnt unlimited

So calls wont come through the headunit at all the mic wont work? With the timur newer rom software?

Also what are the negatives having this set up? Should i use a power 150w converter and use the charger it comes with or use use the cig usb way to charge it

I use a USB port on my headunit to charge the nexus 7. As for the USB hub... Any Hub will work fine.

And yes timurs new software will work with a 2013 nexus 7.

awesome.. you been perfect help... didn't think the usb could charge it that well.. so I just buy a hub plug that into the single din HU and plug in the tablet into the hub wooo......


Do have a question though. installing a back up camera. I don't see how that would work unless I have an app and connect Bluetooth with the tablet...
And using a Mic through the tablet instead of phone..

No you connect the hub to the nexus 7. The otg y cable is needed to use timurs rom, one end connects to the hub and then the other end of the otg y cable is connected to the head unit.

As for the back up can you need an easycap device that connects to the hub. With all of these devices you need to power the hub somehow.

will the tablet be able to read a dvd that is put into the single din player plugged in wit the usb ? cause if not then im just gunna rule out that option for the stereo

the usbs are 1 amp thought. I read that 1amp is not enough it has to be 2amp or more... am I wrong?

1.2 is the max amperage for the nexus 2013. I use a 1 amp and its fine

Nexus is running great. I switched to the 2013 recently. I like it more but just barely. I recommend the setup as I have had no issues. As for the corners: one side looks perfect the other side you have to look closely to see the gap. If I were to redo the gluing of the double din kit I believe I could make it flush.
