Currently have Royal Purple synthetic 0w-20 in there. Been running well, 0 issues.

I've heard some shit talking about royal purple but also good things I have no idea where that stems from. It was the same price as everything else when i bought it and it's purple lol

Mazda Moly 0w-20 in the winter, Redline 5w-30 in the summer. For some reason the Redline is running cooler in my car (on Track) than TGMO 0w-20 did in similar conditions last year. Going to install a pressure gauge in a few weeks and see what weight the oiling system likes best.

It will be in the additive package. Only Mobil knows for sure what the specifics are. But guessing by the names, the Extended Performance will have a more robust package that will extend the OCI, and the Eco version will have viscosity modifiers that reduce the power needed to pump it through the engine. If I had to choose one of the two, I'd go with the EP.

Though frankly, my previous Subaru experiences have soured me to Mobil, and I prefer Amsoil. If I have to go OTS at the local parts store, I use Pennzoil Platinum.

The main difference between M1 AFE and M1 EP is that EP has a higher amount of PAO. It is closer to being a true synthetic, if you will. VOAs show nearly identical additive packages.

Another difference is the HTHS. In the 0W20 grade, AFE is 2.63. EP is 2.7. AFE has shown an ability to stay in grade with minimal additive pack depletion beyond 10K miles, in some applications. Whether mostly Visom or mostly PAO base stocks, M1 is a very good oil.

I just choose to use Pennzoil Platinum with Pure Plus these days. I am hooked on GTL cleanliness. Your car-your call.

I'd like to add that I am now no longer running Royal Purple, I switched to Mobil1 EP. Autozone had a sale for 5 quart jug + 1 quart Jug + Mobil1 Oil filter for 35 dollars.

Too bad ENEOS Sustina isn't a choice. Been running that for the last 5k miles. First three oil changes were Toyota oil.
