What Brand of Oil is in your BRZ/FRS?

I read through these forums extensively today and I tried to list the Oil Brands in terms of popularity on these forums. I saw more people saying Amsoil than anything. I just want to know the BRAND and if you have time to type, why? Is there really a difference between Brands and what is it that makes one Brand worth $8-10/qt and another $4/qt.

Castrol Syntec 0W30...because its overly hyped and I caved into peer pressure.

You're not alone.

Eneos 0W20...because, race car! In all seriously, I have no idea~ Good enough for Super GT and Yamaha Factory Team (MotoGP)?? - Now, I'm just looking for excuses to justify the usage. Currently using the regular Eneos...haven't tried the GF-5 Sustina line.

Eneos oil supposedly maintains performance attributes while improving MPG, but isn't that what all the other brands claim too.

Dropped Castrol Edge 0w-20 in at about the 750 mile mark. Might give Amsoil a try next time around. Since I change oil relatively often in my cars (5,000 miles) I don't worry about it too much.

Eneos needs to be in the poll! I will be striclty using it. We use this hands down in all of our customer's cars that use synthetic.

What do you guys think of Royal Purple HPS?

I'm currently using Subaru oil (which is a fully synthetic 0W-20 supplied by Idemitsu, so I think it is likely to be the factory oil).

If you get the Toyota/Scion dealership oil it is supplied by Mobil.

I may use ENEOS next time...just about any Toyota produced engine that uses 0W-20 is filled with ENEOS from the factory.

Honestly I'm leaning towards Penzoil at the moment just because it's literally HALF the price of everything else on here.

I used mobile 1 for my early change. Gonna swap to AMSOIL at 7500. When more power gets added in a few years I will go to GC. I used it in my Subie but think it's a little thick since it's basically 0W-40 in reality.

Used Mobil one 0-20 for the early 150ml change since it was the only thing at my local autopart. Amsoil 75w-90 gl 4 in the tranny until the Toyota crap comes around, but I have to say the tranny doesn't even feel like a mechanical piece with this fluid, it's very smooth.

Amsoil 0w-30 & K&N oil filter.

JohnATL 08-08-2012 06:58 PM

ENEOS 0W-20
