For me the sound comes from the foot well on drivers side more than passenger side. And it's only under accelerateion too. I wonder if it could be the heat shield like mentioned above

Yes this. Havent flashed back fo stock yet cause im lazy and it stopped doing it and started again today. So not sure if its the tune.

Just had this issue with CEL. Dealership was ready to replace transmission, but it turned out to be a melted Teflon seal on one of the direct injectors, causing detonation. If this issue is not present when the engine is cold, but gets worse as the engine heats up, you may want to look at the DI seals.

I have the same thing here as well. It definitely sounds like an exhaust vibration under load. I am going to have a shop make sure all of my exhaust is tight as well as the heat shield. I don't think its really a major issue just a vibration under load. My old car (Mitsubishi) had a similar noise during load.

I believe I'm having the same issue, a light rattling that sounds like it's from up front (perhaps slightly towards the passenger's side) when driving. Rattling usually comes up in 3rd or 4th gear around 3k RPM but seems to die down if I rev it higher. The videos posted by Kronos sound pretty much the same as what I'm hearing.

Stock 2015 BRZ, no performance mods whatsoever.

Yeah mine does it only under hard acceleration off take off in first and second gear, having my mechanic test drive it and inspect it tomorrow, will let you know how it goes.

I took the bottom stone tray off and noise is gone, so need to find out we're it is touching under hard acceleration.

Same deal with me. It just started about a week ago and occurs at about 6k rpm.

What is that? The rubber thing that helps hold small things in the middle in front of the shifter?
