Great tires and I can vouch on them being pretty grippy in the wet. I daily drive mine and I disagree with them being harsh for daily driving.

Damn.......How long did it take you to make up that difference? How prepped is the WRX? How do you think you drove? Thanks, Simmons

I thought I drove ok, my brother drove better but red lit his good right side run. I think if the course was more technical, the WRX launch advantage wouldn't be too significant. But we were well into 3rd gear twice in a 30 secs course |

"Estimated Availability: 05/04/15"
"1. Tire availability: Tires are considered available when competitors can take possession through retail channels. Pre-orders are not considered available." Wonder if the SCCA will be lenient on this or not... |

I've heard the final qualifying size arrives at Tire Rack's warehouse 4/30. If you could order by website/phone and pick them up the same day, that would probably qualify. Otherwise it'll be next year's problem. |

Case in point - When I track my order for the Bridgestones, it just keeps on telling me later dates. 5/1, 5/7, now 5/23. But the phone call I just got said the 6th or 7th. Tire Rack for me has usually been under-promise, over-deliver. This is actually the first time I've bought tires from them and they weren't on my doorstep in less than 48 hours. All the same, the SEB is aware, they are looking, they have ready access to Tire Rack folk (with a reputation for honesty) in the know, and they've been talking with them.

Tire Rack now stating all the required V720 sizes were available today. Looks like another tire is in play...

Either that can't be right, or this tire won't meet the SCCA 200TW requirements, ever. |

Gotta be a typo - the 4 is right next to the 7 on a 10 key pad, and 7/32nds sounds correct (and is the minimum tread depth for solo legality).

V710's and A6/A7 are molded at 4/32"
But yeah, still thinking someone fat-fingered that entry.

Yeah, most R comps come at 4/32nds. IIRC Toyo recommends shaving the R888 to 4/32nds if it's going to be a dry weather tire only.
