Can someone help double check that I modified the .bin file correctly. I'm using the v2.01 OTS ESC1.5 with OFH rom calID B01D. I changed the Ignition Timing Post Start to -4 degrees and disabled CEL code P050B.

I didn't see the tables for MAF Correction after Start, do I need to edit those?

the oft defs dont have the maf after start tables in the definitions for roms of any series C D ect.

but the romraider defs do

you need to know your original calid and the cald of your tuned rom structure

to be sure you need a hex editor and search your OFT rom for calid start characters ZA1J their will be three instances first 2 are your original calid third is the actuall calid and structure of rom. Some oft roms are calid hacked some are not, you need to work out what your dealing with. If all three are not same your dealing with a calid hacked rom.

This is a dangereous proceedure , understand what you are doing and be very careful and check your work else ecu will be bricked.

modifying calid or altering defs or using incorrect defs can very easily lead to a bricked ecu.

four guys i know of have bricked ecu doing one of the things above

it can be done but check and re check your work.

once you know what the real structure of the oft rom is say is a B01D then you can grab the B01D romraider def and then change the internal calid to what your original calid is example A01D but you must be sure of both your original calid and what the real structure of the OFT rom is , if in doubt give it a miss as their is no second chance. You will then be able to open your oft rom with your hacked definition that contains the maf after start tables.

alternativly you can do what the other guys did and copy the xml code into your oft def but you stil need to copy this code from the correct romraider def for the structure of your oft rom whick may be different from the file name. you cannot use their examples or xml code as they are on different roms, every rom is dofferent B01C tables sre not in same location as B01D.

again it dangereous territory and mistakes will brick your ecu and no one wants to see that

merry christmas
I searched and could only find 2 matching entries, although further down it mentions ECU parameters for a WRX turbo, complete with boost parameters and all. From the OFT xml's for 2.06 roms, OFT_ZA1JA00D.xml.

I'm talking about in the actual rom code :-) you will need a hex editor.

If you don't do the maf after start tables it will still idle high even though you modded idle rpm levels.

that is the xml definition, yes you may need to change that but you need to know your original calid and the calid of your OFT rom. To be sure you need to open the oft rom with a hex editor and search for ZA1J as per post above.

I would think that the tuned OFT A00D rom is actually a B01D rom.

If so you would need to grab the romraider def from github for B01D, hack it to look like a A00D then edit you OFT A00D rom. Generally the OFT roms are based on the latest compatable rom for your car which in your case is likely a B01D. I will stress again this is a dangereous practice so check you tables like OL Fuel table and base timing B look good. If anything look suspect do not flash rom as defs and rom are mismatched.

So the high idle from the "maf after start table" is where most of loudness come from? Would it be okay if I don't modify those tables? Do they apply to automatics?

The maf after start tables do effect loudness.

you can just mod the post start ignition timing only from -15 to -4 and see how that goes. You will need to disable cel code P050B else you will trigger it.

Thank you for the clarification. It is a B01D rom. "?åZZZZA1JB01D 7D À @ð". Now how to hack it to look like OFT roms....

OK, so I opened my current OFT rom file up in Notepad. Found the third romid is ZA1JB01D, rather than the ZA1JA01D it was renamed to. I went to TD_D's github page. Wandered around awhile till I found the RR_ZA1JB01D.xml I need in the Alpha 32 bit base folder. Now I just have to find the two parts of the "maf correction after start" and paste them into the two corresponding sections of my current definition file.

I Did It!

Here are the tables, modified for a quiet cold start. I have the automatic, ZAJ1A00D, and use an OFT. I needed the ZAJ1B01D RR definitions to get the appropriate sections for MAF corrections after start. So, I copied the latest RR_ZAJ1B01D file from TD_D's page on github, searched, found, copied, and pasted the appropriate sections into my current ZAJ1A00D definition file.

If you have an automatic, use an OFT with a ZAJ1A00D ROM, and want the definition file to see these tables, just send me a PM and I'll send you the xml file.

Are you currently running the Stage 2 UEL Map?

On a side note, I can't believe this hasn't been asked yet but how the hell do I disable the "P050B" CEL that I keep getting every morning? I clear it with the OFT every day and am getting pretty sick of clearing it day after day. Any tips?

Look at Kool's screenshot.
It's in the codes section.
On the left it is listed, click it and you'll see the popup that's on the right side of his screenshot.
