I have the very first run of the Quick Jack BL-5000 that had issue with the fittings (which were incorrect for the intended use)... fixed it myself with some aerospace grade Hysol Epoxy to bond every single threaded connection. I also wanted the AC version and was sent the DC power unit version. At least all that was required was to send it in and have them ship me the correct power unit. And then it took a while to get the thing working correctly because Rangers instructions were a complete joke and not even correct to the controls on the power unit, had to talk with one of their techs to figure out how to get it working properly.

That said, once I got it working it has been flawless ever since...simple hydraulic system should be pretty much flawless. It's VERY useful, can never go back to jack and jack stands anymore...leave mine permanently positioned under the center of the car in the garage until I need to use it, just this weekend used it to do some exhaust work, next weekend will do the oil change. Heck I even lift it if for no other reason than to look under the car and admire it...LOL

It has safety lock bars and I have no issue being under the car without anything else, the weight is solidly on the bars locking them in place - they are not going anywhere. I use the 3" rubber blocks, positioned under the front seam weld jacking point and rear wherever it falls on the seam... car is very stable when lifted so no issues to worry about there. Only takes ~1 minute to fully raise the car and ~20 seconds to drop it down... take that jacks and jack stands! I wish these things had been made years ago...!

P.S. I like the free moving safety bar system on mine, I use a tie wrap loop to secure them along the frame top when going down and let them out of the tie wrap look to run along the bottom channel and slip into the locking area when going up (better to gauge where you are at in the lifting process and fine tune the load going onto the bars when they are in place)

Note: for both videos the lock bars were tie wrapped to the frame as I was going up and down for the videos.

Have done fluid servicing and tire rotation/brake inspection on my mom's Corolla, Sister-in Law's Kia, and my brother's Subaru Impreza RS... so easy!

I bought one of these for X-mas (the 5000 version) and I'm very happy with it. The nice thing is that it doesn't take up garage space because you can place it under the middle of your car when it is in the garage and drive back and forth over it each day. Then you move it out to the rails on each side to lift it up. I used it to change out brake pads and do a brake fluid change for my last track day and it was really nice. I also look forward to using it to change out gear and diff oils, oil changes, tire rotations, etc. The lock bars make it very safe and I like the idea of having two heights with which to lock the lift in place. Great product at a reasonable price.

It was $1272 delivered. They have 2 models, the BL-3000 and BL-5000, capable of 3000lbs and 5000lbs respectively. There is a safety bar that locks into place in case the hydraulics fail. You could use some jack stands as a secondary safety net if you plan on going under the car. That is what I plan on doing, but that's just because I like to have a backup just in case.

I've been using the BL-3500 (3,500 lb) for my BRZ for almost a year now. It's been reliable with no leaks, though I never disconnect the hoses. It's also very stable. The only thing I wouldn't do on the QuickJack is dropping the tranny, since I prefer to have more open space on the sides when doing so.

@cnk are you able to use the stackable pads as well, or is the car just too low?

I can only fit the 1.5" pads. The 3" pads won't fit. Car is lowered about 1" from stock.

Thinking about getting a local thing going on. If anyone is in ny,nj, or pa that's interested pm me. After I get a rough head count I will reach out to retailers and see if there's some sort of bulk pricing.

Prefer locals only. Don't want to have to deal with shipping.

I'm pretty sure they offer free shipping to anywhere in the lower 48. Thus a more widespread groupbuy would probably bring in more customers.
