5000 to spend on what?

Exactly that...if you had 5 grand to spend on a car what would it be?

upgrade the suspension area like:
Coilovers w EDFC control unit
4/2 pot calipers w performance pads
slotted rotters
SS brake lines
trans & motor mounts
adjustable rear lateral control arms
aluminum control arms
adjustable rear sway bar
sway bar end links
rear top sway v bars
ball joints
tie rods
rear lower arm bar
bushings:
rear diff support bushings
lateral link bushings
control arm bushings
rear trailing arm bushings

and if I still have $$$$, I'll upgrade:
performance ground kits
oil catch can kit
lightweight flywheel
mid-weight pulley kit
regrind cams w upgrade valve springs
porting and coating ceramic:
intake manifold
throttle body
valve lifts

by the time I get to this area, I should be broke again. lol

It's kind of pointless spending 5K to get a car and not have any money left to fix it up or at least maintain it.

Doubt you can find a decent SW20-22 for $5k unless it's salvaged or a non turbo. Those are just as rare as MKIV Supras.

A bike on the other hand, you can find a good 600 for 5K!

At least throw it in a money market account or CD for a year or two.

buy toyota stock, it's bound to go back up to it's high 91. its currently in the 70s.

I've seen some pretty nice older 600F4i's for around 2000-3000, only thing is i don't know how good of a condition their in since most of them are in areas where there's alot of stunters.

i know exactly where to find a good SW20... in my garage! all it really needs now is a larger turbo and larger injectors. and coilovers and 93T brakes, if you want to get picky, haha.

Can you post some pics? I did a 500 mile radius around SoCal and only came up with 2. Both of them were in decent shape but over 5K. I search for 94+ b/c it has the better tail lights.
