haha right on. I'm assuming that's with an empty tank?? Our cage weighs around 80 lbs. and when our car was 100% stock with a 1/4 tank of gas it weighed the following:

It's got about half tank of gas right now (before we corner balanced it) and our scale reads:

so, you should get your ride on a scale so you can officially be lighter than me... but until now I want to feel like I am winning!

Do you know if having both LWCP and LWFW will cause your bearings to fail? There is a thread with a vendor claiming running both is a bad idea on these engines. Wanted to know your thoughts. Thanks

FWIW I'm running every lightweight pulley including the Raceseng AC delete bracket and pulley and the only time the car is ever running is when its racing on the track....

Nope, those are my full-tank estimates.

Ha! After taking my pulley off for fear of destroying my engine, I actually started a thread about this same thing:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79308

I have since put my pulley back on. I think I've got over 3,000 miles on the combo, and no explosions yet.

Way more weight reduction then I can do since it's my dd and I have a 1 year old but u did inspire me to do the basics like cf drive shaft, shorai battery and Berk trackpipe. That alone made a world of difference! Definitely one of my fav builds.

Have you changed your brake discs? There is some (rotating) mass to loose. I've switched from the OEM discs to Tarox F2000 discs and found out, that those are 0.9 kg (~2 lb) lighter per disc. So overall you could save about 8 lb of rotating mass.

I'm still undecided on brakes. I'll be doing more than rotors when the time comes.

This is the way to do it since BBKs are lighter than the stock brakes.

As long as you're not going FI, I don't see a reason why you would need to move to a bbk. With the weight reduction you will have enough breaking performance with other rotors, brake pads and braided lines - imho.

BBKs provide more than just better braking. They offer cheaper maintenance and they are lighter weight.
