Only pre-08 rear calipers require the brackets...so you need to take that extra cost into consideration as well. Also, some brackets may require you to grind the hub carrier a tiny bit. For hassle free install the post-08 caliper are straight bolt on jobs.
Function wise the rear calipers perform the same between both as they have same piston size. |

I think he meant that the 04-07s STIs use a different rotor than the 08-13 STIs. You HAVE to use the 08-13 STI rear rotor regardless of what year caliper you purchase.

Rear is abit tricky. U need a bracket to mount this gold caliper. I got it made from local machine shop. then the pc metal behind of the rotor u to cut abit so it will not touch the STI rotor later u will put in. Also if u put in the sti rotor for the rear u need to drill a small whole on the rotor hub for u to adjust the handbrake later. see ur stock 86/brz rotor.... |

Or you could just get the DBA rear rotor part number 42656-10 which already comes dual drilled plus e-brake service hole.
If you get the DBA front rotor part number 4654-10 it would also be dual drilled so you won't need to worry which version rotors to look out for. |

Planning on doing the 08-12 Brembo calipers front and rear over the winter. Had a question about hubs though. I'll be converting to 5x114 at the same time and would rather use all Subaru parts if I could. Do STI hubs also swap right over, front and rear? Thanks.

I would think that just like the brakes that any STI front hub and the 08-12 STI rear hubs should swap over.
