Negatory. Should be at that top dot..you're at least a quart overfilled. Make sure you're on a perfectly level surface.

I've corrected that for you.

Note it says the LOWER of the levels you see is the actual level I have noticed that on my car one side must rub against the insertion tube because it seems to be completely coated way up high while the other side is where it should be. Make sure you're actually seeing the lower level. New oil is basically colorless so it can be really hard to see where the level is.

Do NOT run overfilled. Crankshaft whips it up into a nice foamy mess which is then pumped throughout. Circulating bubbles is a quick way to destroy an engine.

You really need to look at that dipstick carefully. I'm only looking at it on an old ipad, so I might not be seeing it correctly, but looks like there are breaks in the oil and dry spots on the dipstick. If so, then your oil is NOT at that higher level. When it dips into the oil pan, it's going to be wet from the true level all the down until the end of the dipstick.

1. Did you drain out everything?
2. How many quarts did you put in? 3. Are you on a level surface? |

if you're on flat ground, and the oil is warm (not hot) then you are quite overfilled.
If you did the change yourself, lesson learned. If a shop did it for you, go make heads roll.
