Just got back from the first event of the SCCA Majors Tour (Western Conference) season and stood on the podium! Super stoked to see us do so well in our first shot at this series - a well earned 3rd place. Please check out my campaign on dark horse pros at: http://www.darkhorsepros.com/campaigns/87 if you haven't - I swear there's some cool stuff available, and you'll be helping me get that much closer to my goal. We are paving the way for FT86 road racing!! Here's a couple shots:

@MicheleAbbate how does the FRS compare to the TC as a track car?

Very hard to compare the two directly because they are so totally different. Just to name a few differences, the tC was FWD and turbo (about 300hp) and the FRS is RWD with around 200hp. The FRS is definitely more nimble and lightweight, making it easier to control/manipulate. Where the tC was big and heavy but fairly quick. Also, when I raced the tC, it was prepped by a team, in which, unfortunately, I had no involvement in how it was set up. Where with the FRS I have full control of what we test, how and what we change and when

If you're asking about lap times The best time I had in the tC, I think, was a 1:53.7 and the FR-S was a 1:58.2. But you have to also take into consideration we were running a very softer compound on the tC, and the FRS I had (very) used NT01's on it... I think with some hoosiers I could probably pull in a time very similiar to the tC.

What class are you competing in with SCCA and how many competitors were there in your class for the event?

The car is classed in STU but I am talking to the scrutineers to see if we can race in STL. It is not a fair platform for STU, especially being NA.

There were 6 people in STU for the weekend - M3's, cobalt, and miata.

We've focused on weight reduction during the off season and we are excited to reveal our refreshed livery maybe this week, if not next week. Stay tuned.

I know she doesn't come on here as often as when this thread started, so for anyone interested here are the Saturday and Sunday results:

http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...201%20Race.pdf
http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...re%20Race1.pdf

Looks like there were 4 cars in the STU class and only two of them were on the pace with the S2000 taking the win on Saturday and Michelle finishing 2nd with the S2000 running 2:05s and Michelle running 2:07s. Then something must have happened to the S2000 on Sunday because he finished multiple laps down while Michelle took the win with both cars running laps in the 2:05s. Nice job picking up two seconds on Sunday.

Thanks dude. The s2k ended up over driving and went off track. That s2k is the same car the took 2nd at the scca national run offs at Leguna seca last year (different driver). we were pretty stoked to be in the 2:05's while running on some pretty used up NT01's. There's definitely a few seconds to be lost out there with a better tire but consistency, hard work, and a little luck proved us well on sunday - especially considering we did a last minute pull of the transmission friday afternoon before heading out to the track haha

A friend of mine put together this video for the 2015 livery refresh (mostly added carbon and rear Driveway Labs diffuser). Check it out at:

Lexan Rear Window

Last night we removed the OEM rear window (again) and are installing lexan. This will save us 8 more lbs. We don't plan on doing the front windshield because lexan gets scarred by the flying rubber and other debris rather quickly, making it difficult to see out of. Also, we probably will not do the side windows either, the weight savings is not worth the cost considering our budget.
