I'm so glad I have a daily driver this year. Last year all I had was the BRZ and it was beyond sketch. I remember it took me 4 minutes to TCS my way up a 20 degree incline into a shopping center.

This was only after about an hour of snowfall. Made it home safe from Denton by taking the long way around using 380 and DNT.

Hope no one got hurt! Saw 2 or so 86s out also.

That intersection is a nightmare on a normal day. It'll be nice once they finish widening 1171.

I'm glad I went home when I did. I work in Addison and live in Fort Worth. Had an 8am meeting, but came home right after, and just hit the light flurries before it started to stick. If I had stayed, I'd still probably be on my way home.

Ha, I can't imagine dealing with this every day. To be fair, it's not that the roads are that bad, it's all of the drivers who freak out and don't know how to drive in it.

Good ol' FloMo! I grew up there (went to Marcus High)

Took me an hour to drive the 6 miles home from work. I'm on my Direzza's and I was under a quarter tank of gas. I had to resort to some handbrake starts and some agonizingly slow starts, but I made it. I passed a white BRZ with gold enkei's stranded on fm1709, looked like a nice man in a van was helping, so I didn't try to stop (not sure I'd have kept from getting stuck too).

Haha indeed, I was hoping to be prepared with some snow or winter tires to help this time around but that didn't happen. Maybe next year I will but I may hire a WRX to do snow jobs while the twin hibernates :P

I would if i could
i went out last night and this morning.

i ran into a miata and an evo last night and we got the cops called on us lol
(aka the cops showed up and we left while he sat there and spun his tires trying to get into the parking lot)

and this morning i ran into a wrx with studded tires ( i bet this guy has been waiting all year for one day to use them on ice ) and we tore it up from about 3 am till 8 am. needless to say my tires are a bit worn and and ive got a grin that wont leave my face.

I've seen your posts across the forum and was curious as to why you went the NOS route vs SC or turbo. Looking to jump into a BRZ here in the coming month or so. Still exploring options.

Main reason was money. I will go turbo or sc in the future but that requires more money not just for the kit but the install, the tune, other parts that you might need to fit your goals like flexfuel kit, injectors, fuel pump, clutch kit. People think it's just buying the kit but it's really not. People usually see between 7 and 10K in a build when the nitrous was less than 1800 including the install. It's good to have that extra kick when you need it, but I don't use it all the time.

Selling my TRD style spoiler. Painted asphalt but with a small paint chip. I can strip it back to blank for you if ya looking to paint it. Pics on request. I'll let it go cheap. It's a very nice quality one. Was $400ish new. Id take $100-200. Especially if you can sooner than later

Anybody here running catless header with a resonated front pipe? I've heard our cars with a straight pipe and it is way too loud and raspy for my tastes.

The best off the shelf option i've found on youtube appears to be a resonated Q300. You could always hack it up and put a much bigger resonator in there. If you want to go the custom route, I believe 4th gen F-body (93-02 camaro/firebird) style catbacks will fit on these cars with some persuasion. Maybe look at a hooker aerochamber or a magnaflow option.

HKS has a dual resonated front pipe. Honestly I might just to HFC because my main goal is not running the factory cat which is so restrictive.

I wish I could test it out before I purchased it, but I doubt any shop would be okay with it.
