See this is what i had in mind as far as the hood vens would go. The CAD skills are retarded so please bare with my idea. The only thing is that i would have to attached some drain pan under on the underside of the hood where the vents are to redirect the water that may come in, avoiding it landing right on my Downpipe.
I've confirmed there are two holes here just as the ones shown right under the red marking. ![]()

I did not put the numbers in it. But i agree that making a vent in the front part of the skid plate sound like a good idea. I am not planning to just cut a hole in it. But welding in vents or building a new skid plate with vents in it. |

OK, so if I am NA and want sufficient track cooling for a 110 degree day, what size or kit? I may go FI someday, but not anytime soon. I don't want to limit oil pressure too much.

Thought Id share my latest modification. I rarely get a chance to work on my own car, and when I do, it's usually for a very short period of time. So on my lunch break the other day, I pulled my bumper off to install my new grillecraft grill (to provide some more airflow then the stock half blocked grill) and decided to use some of the foam I've saved from Tial wastegate and BOV boxes. I will say, I haven't had an issue with heat yet, but I haven't done a track day in weather over 80 degrees yet, so this is a more of a preventative mod.The ducting on the oil cooler does quite well already so we'll see how this goes. I've got some more foam to add in a few other places as well.
Anyways, here it is. Just cruising around I noticed oil temp is about 5-6 degrees cooler, but coolant now doesn't get over 190 unless I really start to push it and even then it sticks at about 200-203. I'm sure it will be a different story on the track, but for spirited driving it's great. A few more mods to let air out wll come before the next time I get on the track in April and the real test will show. ![]()

The foam that goes above your radiator is very important, putting it back in will help direct air through your radiator and intercooler instead of it passing over the top.

Yes its in my picture. Its the foam in between the top of the radiator and the bottom of the radiator support. Mine has a slight rip but you can see it next to my intercooler piping.

Hi
I have the vortech SC, no heat issue here, but use 20 rows oil cooler (for the engine), koyo rad, and SC oil cooler. Last fun run was 2hrs of back roads on each direction, from sea level to almost 4000ft on several ups and down. Speed 25-35 so no much air flow and temps: Engine avg 210f, max 222f Coolant avg 200f, max 210f Intake avg 115f, max 125f SC oil temp max 181f So as you can see centrifugal SC is kind of easy to control heat, but it run with much less torq than turbo... Looking at the 335 SC that Moto mike is having so much fun with it. But really want to see how it performs on summer at the track (if I use that set up it will have WMI). *I do prefer the power a turbo set up offer, but after a couple of builds that heat soak and this is a DD that came NA... U have two engine oil coolers, one for the supercharger and a bigger rad. Yeah that seems very easy vs a turbo......
