I'll give you my 1 week old K& N for free lol just pay shipping.

I think the natural variance from run to run would yield more difference than anything. If I'm not mistaken, hasn't someone compared the stock filter vs. having no filter at all and ended up losing power?

Here it is: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9177

If anyone can get real numbers on how well the various filters work (at filtering particles that is), that would be more valuable than looking for a HP boost.

I read good review about the K&N air filter. I saw a vid on youtube and the guy say that it increased your throttle response. No power gain though.

That will be my first 'mod' in my list for the spring.

Honestly, the biggest thing that drove me to get a Perrin over the stock filters is that it is able to be cleaned and re-used. It'll pay for itself over time but you won't get any noticeable increase in performance.

I bought the HKS drop in for no reason other than I had a HKS cone filter on my 240sx and liked it. I choose not to do the cold air filter thing. That $300 dollars is much better spent on a track day.

A used oil analysis is a very good indicator of how good the air filtration is. You can always spot a K&N user because their silicon is usually higher than normal.

I have the TRD and like it.

I've had both the Blitz and K&N filters as well as the Grimmspeed intake. In my opinion all drop in filters perform the same and you can't go wrong with any of them. Just pick the cheapest one, or one from your favorite company and you're good to go.

Ended up buying HKS, just based on how my previous HKS products have worked for me.

I would imagine all drop in filters perform very similarly, I mean their design is basically 85% the same across brands
