i just want to chime in and say that if you are looking for full FI and if you dont plan to go well over 300whp, just stick to the esc. I'm currently running the SBD kit and i gotta say it's very similar to the ESC just a bit more umph up top but other then that it's noting special with turbo, just alot more money on supporting mods is all you'll get.

with the e85 tune i made roughly 210whp vs 237whp with the turbo kit. i attached a virtual dyno that i did with both setup done on the same road. it may not be super accurate when compared to a real dyno but it's good enough for comparing my before and after mod.
also, i want to say that i love the sbd turbo kit but if i had to do it all over again, i think i would've just stick with the ESC for pure simplicity sake.
also keep in mind that i spent a little over 3k for the turbo kit + 1K for ecutek and tune. roughly 500usd for an oil cooler, then add the catch can, thermo wraps, boost controller, gages, etc..... and some bloody knuckles from the install lol.

also keep in mind that this is just the stock sbd kit on my car vs the ESC with e85 (also on my car, it my be different on other people's cars.

was it worth it to go turbo......maybe in the future when I start shooting for higher numbers.
i will have to say that I really do enjoy the sbd kit, but the instant boost of the ESC is well worth it for it's price range.
just my honest personal opinion from having both kit's.

7.5psi in that graph, but I'm currently getting tuned for 10psi as we speak.

If you don't mind me asking how's the tuning for it? Easier, the same? How are the batteries holding up under the new control?

I've been running the new computer controlled set up in a customer's Miata for a couple weeks now. No issues at all to report. It's pretty awesome actually
