Well my first Sykart meet, and someone backed into my bumper where my license plate relocation kit was - it looked like it was from a hitch. No idea how someone manages this with how wide the lot was. Tore and bent my license palte, put a small gouge in my bumper behind it, and warped my relocation kit so I'll have to buy a new one.

I am feeling very depressed, and pretty devastated right now. After 1.5 years of owning my car, I've never had any damaged caused to it aside from a few rock chips.

So I guess this is my apology for taking off. Thanks to Derrick for helping me get my plate off, so I could drive home without it danging there. Needless to say I don't know if I'll be going back to any subsequent Sykart meets - very devastated about this happening here of all places, and right before I was set on getting a dashcam once my tax return came in.

I am so sorry that happened to you. When did it happen? After we were introduced?

The reason why I ask is because the regular counter guy was talking to a person in a pick up truck and I wondered why he was hovering around the parking lot when I got there.

It happened before the first main race. I think it was the Orange truck. The sykart helped get the rest of the kit off because he had an Allen wrench. It was really unfortunate and I hope it doesn't discourage anybody from coming out to our meets.

@Ammunition - I want to say I saw it that way when I arrived, which was around 6:40? I didn't heed it much attention because when I had mine, it would rotate every now and then. Sucks that it happened at Sykart of all places.

The damage shouldn't be too bad. @Chen @thehapaone and I had a worst run in with a gravel truck, we all still have the scars to prove it (Also Richard has video footage). But you know, I think I've had more fun in my car ever since I got all these nasty chips on my lip, front bumper, fender, and cracked windshield. I kept mine pristine for 2 years, I even put it in the HIN show in Seattle. But my car got busted up over some flying rocks and it was sad at first, but I got over it eventually. And now I just have fun with it, cause it already looks ugly enough as is.

I plan on getting all the paint touched up and getting a clear bra for my bumper and lip. I already bought a 2nd hood from Kohei, so eventually my car will be back to normal.

I really think the Sykart guy knows exactly who did it.

They must have a security cam. The building across the way probably has one pointed towards that lot.

Sorry that happened Carly. I hate that it happened and they got away with it. Don't let this discourage you from coming tho. It could of been any one of us.

Dude in the truck or one of the Subaru rally pigs (less likely) are the only ones that make sense, no one else was parked in that section of the lot.

Damien, the guy who works there had his car backed into parked right in that area. The only way we can make sure to avoid any future instances like this is to park over by the spots perpendicular to the building in the middle. I don't think they have came outside actually. From what I heard from Brandon, the guy in the Orange truck pulled out really fast when we were leaving. I don't thhink the Subarus did it because Carly had that plate torque down, they would have to have a gash in there's. Only a metal bumper from a ruck could have pushed that plate in like that and put a cut through the license plate itself. It unfortunate this happened. Everybody watch out for trucks or tall SUVs. My experience is they have a real hard time seeing lower cars. Hope to see everybody, including Carly out at our next events.
