oft can also sound alarm when knock occurrs or any of the 30 or so loggable parameters exceeds preset values you set up and you can have multiple conditions. ie alarms for high coolant or oil temps, afr alarms, speed ect |

On a strange note, I noticed after I read my stock ROM that my keyfob lock/unlock wasn't being recognized by my car. Also, the touch-lock (I have a Monogram) wasn't working. It all worked after I flashed the stage 1 tune, so . I did a quick first gear pull and WOW.

What is the advantage of the higher rev limiter? Is there more torque to be had at the top end?
Edit: I just did some searching and found that the rev limiter for AT is controlled by the TCU, so it doesn't matter anyways lol. I'm still curious about the benefits of this though. |

HP = Torque applied over time RPM = revolutions per minute (in our cases, engine revolutions) Spinning faster = more combustions hope this helps |

For those of us who Autocross, it's done 90% in second gear...so the higher the rev limit, the more speed you can carry on the straights without having to upshift into 3rd (losing time) and then have to downshift back to second for a turn (losing more time)

And by automatic shift points, do you mean the shift points in Drive as opposed to bringing it to the rev limit in manual mode? Last edited by Estey; 02-19-2015 at 09:50 PM. |
