yes as per @Malts post above the oft tuned roms are based on the latest compatable rom for your car so even of your original calid was 700x, 900x, A00x, A01x ,B00x your tuned oft rom will actually be based on a B01X rom for usa canada guys, the oft guys then alter the calid and name of the rom so the oft will load it but inside its the latest calid rom B01x. All roms A01x and later have the di seal, transient knock retard fix

where x = C or D

it sure can, have read of oft tips link and ecu logging link below. oft can log to screen and also downloadable file on device
oft can also sound alarm when knock occurrs or any of the 30 or so loggable parameters exceeds preset values you set up and you can have multiple conditions.

ie alarms for high coolant or oil temps, afr alarms, speed ect

Got it this morning - I guess something was fudged up with their host server last night.

On a strange note, I noticed after I read my stock ROM that my keyfob lock/unlock wasn't being recognized by my car. Also, the touch-lock (I have a Monogram) wasn't working.

It all worked after I flashed the stage 1 tune, so . I did a quick first gear pull and WOW.

I'm glad you got it working too.

What is the advantage of the higher rev limiter? Is there more torque to be had at the top end?

Edit: I just did some searching and found that the rev limiter for AT is controlled by the TCU, so it doesn't matter anyways lol. I'm still curious about the benefits of this though.

Pretty sure the 7600 rev limit lets you hit 60mph at the top of 2nd gear. I don't really care so I put mine back down to 7500.

I'm trying so hard not to troll this...

HP = Torque applied over time

RPM = revolutions per minute (in our cases, engine revolutions)

Spinning faster = more combustions

hope this helps

It depends on what your purpose is. If you're just daily driving/hooning it won't really matter.

For those of us who Autocross, it's done 90% in second gear...so the higher the rev limit, the more speed you can carry on the straights without having to upshift into 3rd (losing time) and then have to downshift back to second for a turn (losing more time)

Jesus Christ, don't take the word of banned members as gospel. Also drive your car in manual. REV LIMIT != AUTOMATIC SHIFT POINTS.

Maybe I didnt word my question well enough, and instead wrote it halfheartedly.. Im not that uninformed, haha.
but higher rpm doesnt necessarily mean more power, correct?

ah, see thats what I was thinking. The later shift points save time, although an AT wouldnt benefit from this as much, but I see why it helps in autox. I was just wondering if there was another benefit.

I drive my car in manual %100 of the time, lol.
And by automatic shift points, do you mean the shift points in Drive as opposed to bringing it to the rev limit in manual mode?
