HMMMMM that is a really good question! I guess to assign it an actual colour grey would be it.

Thanks, it is my retirement toy. I put a 2ZZ/6 speed in it and a bunch of other mods. We have done some light mods to his FR-S too.

They are not as close as they look from that angle but that is kinda funny.

Thanks, I would not own one without the top. I do not like rag tops. The soft top is removed for weight savings and more storage space. As it sits it is about 500LBs lighter than the FR-S.

Hot lava sometimes looks weird in pictures and video, but IRL it's the sickest color. So glad I made that choice.

I have owned both red and white cars in the past. I have recently been on a kick of white cars (mainly drooling over porsches, but whatever). When I went to the dealership to buy my FR-S, I planned on buying a white one as my first choice, but was thinking Gray next and red third.

Once I realized that the white was metallic/pearl and not just standard white I went with red. I expect to own and DD this car for a long time and I like the ability of cheaper and easier to match respray/bodywork in the future.

Plenty will argue this, but in my experience, it's easier to have bodywork done on a non-metallic car, so sadly the white wasn't in my best interest.

2yrs later, and i'm actually happy I bought the red. It looks terrific. White is awesome, but I personally don't think it's THIS car's best color.

BAN THE HYPOCRITE!!! Jkjk, I love my red lol.

But the paint match issues are SPOT ON...Finding a place that can match the white on our cars is very difficult. Down in my area on our 86 FB group, there was one member who documented the whole ordeal of trying to get the white to match after being hit.

I chose red. Can't go wrong with red for a small sportscar. White is everywhere. White is the new color fad for EVERYTHING. Everything from small sportscars to big lifted 4X4s. New Escalade commercial shows a white one. For yrs ... Escalades were always black. I've owned alot of different colored cars over the years .... except for white. Hymmmmm? Maybe white next time?

Because I like hearing the sound of my own voice and feel like poking someone who likes the sound of their own voice:

When I think of white vehicles I think of pickup trucks, vans, and Prius's. There are very few sports cars imo that look better in white than the other colors offered, I honestly can't think of one except the LFA which I think looks better in every other color (mmm brown) but it's a Lexus so it's white because 'gotta dink bout dat resale'.

I fully understand people like white cars, it's easy to keep clean, on it's own it's attractive against a natural backdrop or zipping along an open track and of course the resale value as not many people hate white.

Drive along the freeway in rushhour and it blends in like any other Toyota, it's got the same damn jellybean roofline as a prius and the bulbous taillights of a camry. I think they were too conservative in the styling department, it's a safely designed coupe, very Toyota, very little 'Fuck you, I am not a regular car' going on in the design which I didn't realize I liked so much, even the little Miata clearly shouts that 'this is not for the average consumer' as does pretty much every iteration of Mustang, Camaro, RX-7, Celica/Supra, Nissan/Datsun Z and all of Porsche's sportscars.

Get the color that lights the passion, screw every common sense thought about attracting tickets, keeping it clean, and having to lower the price because their are only a handful of people looking for a 5 year old "Tangerine Scream" colored car.

I should have gotten the orange.

Red is probably my least favorite color for some reason. White is my favorite color, then grey.
