You know that one house on your street that hasn't paved their driveway, when everyone else has? Or that one house that doesn't take care of their lawn and everyone else has the decency to at least now theirs? Now, when you go to sell your beautiful house, potential buyers MAY be turned off by that. At least a HOA can keep that from happening. |

I kind of miss HOA's myself. Right now we probably have the second nicest house on our street, with a few eyesores bringing us ALL down. In this modern era, where few of us know our neighbors well, HOA's kind of keep things on the level.

I live in a neighborhood that is predominantly Portuguese and Hispanic (both the Hispanic families in the city live on it). I keep my grass cut and trees trimmed but since I don't have statues, rock gardens, fountains, half inch blades of grass all facing the same direction or massive flower beds then I am pretty sure they think I am dragging down the whole street!

My point here is that the HOA seems a little too inflexible in meeting the needs of the homeowner. If they were fair, they would work out a compromise with the OP that would still allow him to make his own choices with his purchases. |

After installing coilovers and thus lowering my BRZ 20mm, No matter what angle I take I scrape something.
I live in a HOA, I will just have to ask the board at our next meeting to allow it. Those curbs are rediculous. A few of my neighbors have high end cars (GTR, F-type, some Porsches) and it makes me want to punch a baby when I see them parked outside because they can't get into the garage.

I have literally told oncoming traffic to eff off while I slowly maneuver... I have tried coming from both the right and left side, at an extreme angle, slight, with wheels turned all the way, partially, and straight. What scares me is the frs is still stock.. I have a custom static dropped truck that is FAR lower. I haven't had to worry about it while it's getting worked on, but will be wanting to park it in the garage when I get it back. No way it's making it over the hump. Sucks to think I have to spend several hundred dollars to park in my own garage and it still may not even be accepted by hoa.
Thanks for the replies everyone, some very funny as well |

post some pics of this driveway!
First thing I did when we were looking at a house to buy was to make sure I could get up the driveway lol. |

The concrete in the middle of the night sounds like the best option to me.

I hav a storm drain opening on one side of my driveway that has sunk and I would rip the front end right off if I tried to go in that way. Called the city and they were very reassuring that it would be fixed soon. Unfortunately their concept of "soon" is 2018!

And that's why you say you have no idea what that is and where that concrete came from. I mean it's risky but I would do it
