Unexplained dip asside, I think the OFT OTS tune does really well considering it is within a few hp of a custom tune.

I've done this exact same merge many times since the 2.06 (I'm now on the 93 octane Stage 1) without ever running into that brief lull on the way up. I have not tried flashing back to the beta since then, nor would it be helpful right now out here given the lovely weather we have... The only other time I remember I have run into something like this was the other day driving home in very cold temperatures (~7 degrees I believe, lots of snow the prior day) when I hit a patch of slippery while accelerating from a stop and the traction control blipped (I saw the light!) It felt exactly like I imagine the graph would - a sudden drop, and after a few seconds and traction having returned, acceleration continued apace. Of course, I don't know what would happen if traction control were to blip on a dyno - how it would show up, etc. so that's pure speculation. It's not helpful in the least, I imagine. I can't do fourth gear pulls through the RPM range required, and certainly not 5th without finding my way to a dyno. It's on my list before AutoX season starts up in the spring - not sure if there's a MAHA out here. C |

Stock '15 BRZ. OFT 2.062 91 octane tune. No issues.
It is what it is. Neither side will convince the other. |

@ck-GT86: Have you considered getting a flex fuel kit instead? Then you can mix E85 and 91 freely, and never need to worry about being on the right calibration.

Has that sudden dip ever on the oft tune been recorded by another type of dyno?

dont know, but its not a problem for everyone on ethanol or petrol
http://datazap.me/u/steve99/e85-200k-learn-155?log=0&data=1-2-3-9&solo=2&zoom=390-720 above is log of my car running oft E85 tune, unmodified and completly stock car , so it does not occurr on all cars i am now running with catless uel header still no issue on standard oft tune E85. currently running modified oft E85 tune to suit our high grade guaranteed 85% ethanol pump fuel here , still dont get that issue. When I run petrol on OFT tune dont get issue either. not saying it does not happen but must be some combination of fuel car rom type mods ect that causes it. |
