How much of a range is one effective for? For example, I'm most concerned about cruising through the neighborhood in the morning, which centers around 2000 rpm or so, but highway cruising at 2600 would be nice to have a little quieter too. If I tuned for 2300 would it be effective for all of that range?
Hahaha don't worry it involves some math but nothing too complicated.

I did mine to kill drone from 2600 to 3000, it kills the drone in that range pretty good. I aimed for the lowest rpm since it will require the longest pipe. The exhaust is a a lot quiter at low rpm but still very loud at higher rpm, this is what I was looking for. Now I can sit in the car during a cold start.

One of the most important parts is to have the pipe welded at 90 degrees angle in order to avoid flow issues.

You need to know your exhaust temperature to properly calculate for a Helmholtz resonator. I just built an excel calculator in no time that calculates the frequency of resonance targeted using exhaust temperature, volume of resonator, connector tube length, and connector tube ID. The temperature would be used as a constant and the others can be changed to target whatever rpm needed. Maybe I can upload it...

@mid_life_crisis

I posted a somewhat detailed DIY guide in the DIY section on how to build the resonator.

Feel free to contact me if you have any question
