Get out of my head! That's exactly what I was thinking of as I typed. I dread the day that thought becomes reality. Minivans are a boring species. To (very loosely) quote Louise Belcher, if it was a spice, it'd be flour, if it was a book, it'd be two books.

All I the things I am thinking are sexist. They're about the lack of something or other. I will not post because such things are rude, offensive, and hurtful.

Crime of opportunity carjackers don't last too long in LA, cops have bait cars allllllll over the city that are unlocked or have laptops, etc in the front seat. In any case, if you have a smartphone the carjacker could probably Google enough to get him down the street in a manual :P ADDENDUM: this argument reminds me a lot of how people don't like the gtr since its only dual clutch. With proper gearing the automatic is very, very fast compared to the manual. You can lose a lot of top speed since the frs can't even really hit its engine limit without FI, aerodynamically limited below that Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

![]() It doesn't make you better than the person who's driving an auto, it makes you better than the other person who's also driving a manual in your rear view mirror. Let's put it this way, before your elementary school teachers let you use the calculator, they made you use your fingers and toes (figuratively) to solve math problems. With technologies these days, manual transmissions are going away because autos are just so much better at what they do. The manual transmission, however, gives you a more "hands-on" approach. You're either better at shifting gears than the other guy, or you're not. That's what makes it more appealing to me, as I can only speak for myself. I'm not bashing on the auto transmission. I'm just stating why I like the manual transmission better in my car. I'm not trying to justify my choice. I knew what I wanted when I bought the car, and I would make the same choice again given another chance. If I could take out a loan to buy a $25k car, I doubt the bank would tell me to p!ss off when I asked for another $1k.

I'm going to bed, this internet arguing thing is making me tired.
And don't talk smack on the Prius, it's a great step of human advancement to make less use of non-renewable energy (even if it makes more environmental pollution and impact in the making of each Prius than a normal gas powered vehicle can make in its lifetime)
